A England Saint George

Rieccociiiiiii!
E' da tanto che non mostro più uno smalto della A England, quindi mi sembra il caso di ripartire... Col botto.
Saint George è stato, sin da subito, nel mirino di molte polishaholic, ivi inclusa la sottoscritta. E non ha assolutamente deluso le aspettative.
Il colore è unico: un verde intenso tendente all'ottanio con un effetto holo scattered.
All'altezza di cotanto splendore è, inoltre, anche la sua qualità davvero incredibile: formula perfetta, applicazione impeccabile, pigmentazione pazzesca. Nelle foto vedete il risultato di una sola passata.
I tempi di asciugatura sono ridotti e la durata è ottima.
Più che una smalto riuscito, lo definirei semplicemente perfetto.
Buon week end a tutte, io domani sarò ammollo in piscina per tutto il giorno, ed a presto col prossimo smalto!

Here I am again!!!
I haven't posted an A England polish in a while, so it's time to come back with a stunning shade, Saint George. 
I think it's the best seller of The Mythical Collection, and there are many reasons for this success.
Firstly, the shade is simply stunning: an intense green leaning to teal with a scattered holo effect.
But also quality is great: formula and application are perfect and pigmentation is very high - only one coat in my pics!
Drying time is fast and longevity is very high.
I won't describe it as a good polish, but as The Perfect Polish. 
Hope you will have a nice w-e, I will spend my Saturday at the swimming pool, and see you soon with another polish!

Orly After Party (and collection recall)

Buonasera a tutte!
Oggi vi presento After Party di Orly, ultimo smalto della collezione Feel the Vibe.
After Party è "l'eccentrico" del gruppo: non è neon, anzi, la sua base è un nero scurissimo che di rado si vede nelle collezioni estive. Questa base così scura, però, è arricchita da un delirio di shimmer fittissimo blu e rosa che lo rende davvero particolarissimo.
Dopo aver storto il naso di fronte alle press release, una volta visto dal vivo ed indossato è diventato sostanzialmente il mio preferito della collezione!
Applicazione fantastica, ottima pigmentazione (quasi un one coater, ma consiglio due mani sottili) ed asciugatura rapida. Anche la tenuta è elevatissima.
In conclusione, la Feel the Vibe mi ha davvero convinta: splendido il "parco colori" proposti (peccato che le collezioni da 7 sfumature non esistano, avrei molto gradito anche la presenza di un verde neon!), ben bilanciata, allegra e un filo pazza.

Hi ladies!
Here I am with the last polish from Feel the Vibe collection by Orly.
After Party is also known as the oddball of the collection. It's not neon and, moreover, the base color (black) is so dark and unusual for summer collection.
But in that black base there's a crazy quantity of blue and pink shimmer that really enriches the polish and enhance its charm.
Application is super easy, it's opaque in two thin coats and it dries fast. Moreover, it has a very good longevity.
I have really appreciated this collection, I think it's well balanced, the shades are great and it's a bit crazy, just like me!!! It's a pity that collections with seven polishes don't exist, I'd be very happy with also a green polish in this collection!

Illamasqua Monogamous (and some remarks on Naked Strangers Collection)

Lo so, ultimamente latito. Troppi impegni, troppo lavoro e troppo caldo!
Spero di farmi perdonare mostrandovi l'Illamasqua Monogamous, uno dei tre smalti della nuova collezione Illamasqua per l'estate 2012.
Ma prima qualche considerazione sulla collezione stessa. Chi conosce Illamasqua sa che è un brand che, poco ma sicuro, stupisce ogni volta. Punta su collezioni visionarie ed audaci e su un packaging minimal ma di grande ricercatezza.
Con la Naked Strangers non si sono smentiti: mentre tutti puntano sui colori vivaci e neon, Illamasqua propone oro e nude, indugiando nella tentazione dello sfavillio discreto ed elegante.
Per oggi mi limiterò a parlare degli smalti che, come dicevo poco sopra, sono tre: Monogamous (nude semi matte), Faithful (bronzo leggermente shimmer) e Swinger (oro foil).

I know, I'm not posting as often as usual. I'm really busy at work and, moreover, it's really hot here in North Italy, my neurons are evaporating!
Hope you will forgive me after this review of Illamasqua Monogamous and some general considerations on Naked Strangers Collection for Summer 2012.
All of us perfectly know that Illamasqua is a brand that never ceases to amaze with unusual and visionary collections.
With Naked Strangers Collections they didn't live up their reputation: almost all brands are focusing on bright and neon colors for summer, but they chose nude and gold, indulging in the temptation of elegant and subtle sparkle.
For today I will talk about nail polishes only. There are three varnishes in this collection: Monogamous (semi matte nude pink), Faithful (shimmering bronze) and Swing (foil neutral gold).

E veniamo ora a Monogamous: sulla carta è un nude rosato che asciuga semi matte. Da quel che ho potuto leggere in altre recensioni e vedere nelle relative foto, è un colore che assume inflessioni diverse a seconda della carnagione di chi lo indossa: su alcune bloggers virava decisamente al pesca, su di me, con la mia carnagione superchiara dal sottotono rosa, appare proprio di ques'ultimo colore.
La formula è un qualcosa di grandioso, e conferma ciò che scrissi sul Nomad: è densa, ma non in modo fastidioso, anzi. L'applicazione è favolosa e se mai doveste fare qualche pasticcietto addensando una quantità eccessiva di prodotto in un punto dell'unghia, no problem: si autolivella da solo.
L'asciugatura è rapida e la durata grandiosa.
Non sono certo tipo da nude, ma questo "cambio d'aspetto" sulle mie unghie mi ha stupita in positivo. In particolar modo, lo sto poi adorando per la pedicure, lo trovo perfetto per chi, come me, non ama e non ha il tempo di abbinare smalto delle mani e dei piedi. Monogamous, in questo senso, è un perfetto passepartout.
Conquistata dallo smalto e conquistata dalla collezione: ma voi che ne pensate? Vi piace questo tocco di insolito nude estivo o preferite sempre e comunque il colore vibrante per la stagione calda, anzi caldissima?


And now, let's focus on Monogamous. I watched and read a lot of review on line, and after this I think that this nail polish changes a bit depending on the skin undertone of the lady who wears it. I saw that it turns peach on some bloggers' skin, but on me it definitely turns nude pink (I have a very pale skin with pink undertone).
Formula is really great and it's really similar to Nomad's one: it's thick, but not too thick. Application is great, drying time is fast and longevity very high.
If you have been reading my posts since a while, you would probably know that I'm not a nude lover. But I must admit that I really appreciated this "change of look" on my nails! From neon to nude: wow.
I was conquered by this nail polish and by the collection in general: but what about YOU? Do you like this touch of unusual colors for summer or you prefer vibrant and bright colors for the hot (very hot!) season?

Basic Beauty 48PE

Buonasera a tutte!
In attesa (spasmodica) della partita della Nazionale di calcio, vi propongo uno smalto di italica provenienza, prodotto da questa Basic Beauty (appartenente al marchio Limoni) che tanto sto apprezzando (ed acquistando) ultimamente.
Il 48PE (che nervi non avere il nome, sul sito non ci sono tutte le colorazione e relativi nomi purtroppo!) è uno splendido turchese carico dal finish super shimmeroso tono su tono, che in ombra e con la luce artificiale ha stupendi riflessi violetti.
La sua pecca sta un po' nella pigmentazione non propriamente eccelsa (tre passate per la coprenza delle foto), ma in compenso si stende molto bene ed asciuga piuttosto rapidamente.
Anche la durata è decisamente buona (4 giorni pieni).
Mi ripeterò, sono contenta degli smalti Basic Beauty che ho provato finora, ed in effetti ne ho davvero molti altri da provare visto che ho approfittato spudoratamente dalla promo 3x2 (attiva fino al 1 luglio).
Ed ora viaaaaa, mi metto in modalità tifosa sfegatata!

While I'm waiting for tonight's football match (Italy VS Eire), I want to show you a polish by an italian brand, Basic Beauty. I really appreciate the nail polishes that this brand produces, I bought a lot of them thanks to their sale and I'm really happy with the polishes I have already tried.
#48PE (ok, I hate the fact that it's impossible to find its name because it's not available on Limoni's on line shop) is a beautiful sparkling turquoise with a super shimmery finish. In artificial light and in the shade, moreover, it has slight light purple reflects.
Pigmentation is not excellent (three coats in my pics) but application is easy and drying time is fast.
Also longevity is quite good (four days before minor tip wear).
Again, I want to repeat that I appreciate a lot this line of nail polishes, I still have tons of them to show you and I can't wait to try all of them (expecially the jellies!).
And now I have to go - crazy supporter mode ON!

Orly Glowstick

Buongiorno a tutte!
Penultimo appuntamento con la Feel the Vibe Collection di Orly!
Chiudo però la saga dei neon, col colore più classico e forse più difficile da portare: il giallo evidenziatore!
L'Orly Glowstick è, infatti, un giallo neon davvero luminosissimo. Nessun problema di applicazione, formula più liquida della media ma non difficile da governare.
La sua grossa pecca sta nella pigmentazione: è piuttosto sheer. Su indice e medio, nelle mie foto, ci sono quattro mani, e la linea dell'unghia è ancora leggermente visibile. Su anulare e mignolo, una passata del solito Dayglow e due di Glowstick, che si conferma la soluzione migliore (almeno IMO) per questi colori neon un po' sheer.
Nonostante i vari strati, l'asciugatura è stata rapida e la durata ottima.
Glowstick è senz'altro un colore stupefacente, perfetto per la spiaggia e per le vacanze, ma dovete amarlo abbastanza da fare qualche sforzo extra per raggiungere la perfetta coprenza.

Hi ladies!
Fifth appointment with Orly Feel the Vibe Collection, and last neon polish of the bunch.
Glowstick is the perfect neon yellow which is crazily bright. 
Application was good, formula is a bit runny, but nothing that could not be easily controlled. 
The problem of Glowstick is its pigmentation: it's quite sheer. On index and middle fingers, you can see the results of 4 coats (the nail line is still a bit visible). On ring and pinkie, I applied one coat of Dayglow and two of Glowstick. This is the best thing to do, IMO, if you want to obtain a perfect coverage in three coats instead of five. 
Glowstick, despite the many coats I did, dried fast and has a very good longevity.
I think this is a stunning color, it is perfect for holiday time, but it needs a bit of extra work.

Illamasqua Poke

Salve a tutte!
Oggi vi presento il mio primissimo (insieme a Rare) smalto Illamasqua, il Poke.
Poke è un viola davvero luminosissimo arricchito da un generoso shimmer fuchsia e blu. Questo shimmer è talmente ricco che è stato un problema catturarlo in foto, nella vita reale "illumina" molto di più!
La formula è grandiosa: come per Nomad, né troppo densa né troppo liquida. Due passate e la coprenza è servita.
Tempi di asciugatura rapidi e durata ottima.
Sono davvero contenta di questo acquisto, decisamente soldi ben spesi!

Illamasqua Poke was the first polish of the brand that I bought - I ordered it a few months ago together with the stunning Rare. 
Poke is a bright and super vibrant purple with a generous fuchsia and blue shimmer. This shimmer really "lights up" the base color and is even more gorgeous IRL!
Formula is great: not too thick and not too thin. It took two coats to obtain the perfect opacity and it dries fast. Moreover, the longevity is great.
I'm really happy with this purchase, this polish really is good value for money!

OPI Black Spotted available on Sephora.fr!

Avete già visto le foto del nuovo smalto OPI Black Spotted? No?
Vi consiglio allora di dare un'occhiata ai bellissimi swatches di Nailderella!
Nei giorni scorsi noi nail addicted avevamo attivato i servizi segreti, il KGB, l'Interpol per saperne di più su questo spettacolare effetto.
Mentre tutto taceva dal distributore italiano (ho chiesto circa l'eventuale, futura disponibilità nel nostro Paese senza ricevere risposta), le bloggers d'Oltralpe ci informavano che sarebbe stata un'esclusiva per Sephora Francia e sarebbe stato parte della The Amazing Spiderman Collection. E' dunque scattata la monitorizzazione selvaggia del sito e... TA DAAAAN!
Oggi l'ho trovato. E ordinato. Vabbé, ne ho ordinati sei, due per me ed altri quattro per le mie amiche di smalto!
Sono incerta sul destino del mio backup, l'intenzione è di usarlo per qualche swaps... Chissà!
Cosa ne pensate sul Black Spotted? Vi piace o proprio nonvenepofregademeno???

IMPORTANTE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oggi è arrivato il mio ordine. Gli smalti erano stati inseriti in uno dei loro sacchetti di carta SENZA NESSUN IMBALLAGGIO O PROTEZIONE. Il risultato lo vedete sotto. E' tutto distrutto. Evidentemente i 15.90€ di spese di spedizione che ti fan pagare sono troppo pochi per pretendere uno sputo di pluriball.

Ho scritto sulla loro pagina Facebook, ho scritto tramite il loro form, e solo dopo molte ore mi han risposto che mi avrebbero contattata lunedì, nonostante il loro servizio clienti sia attivo anche fino alle 20 di sabato. Non sono la sola ad aver avuto questo problema, a quanto pare la loro modalità di spedizione NON prevede imballaggio. 

Finché non avrò capito come intendono risolvere il problema, e SE lo intendono risolvere, non posso che SCONSIGLIARE CALDAMENTE l'acquisto dal sito.

I'm sure that you have already seen the pics of OPI Black Spotted.
It is a very unusual effect that has recently been launched as a part of The Amazing Spiderman Collection. But it seems to be an exclusive for Sephora France (I asked to the Italian distributor but I never received an answer, so I don't know that to say about the distribution in my Country).
I decided to check every day Sephora.fr website and today I finally found it!
I have already ordered six (yes, SIX) bottles: two for me and four for other nail-friends! I don't know that to do with my backup bottle, I suppose I will use it for a swap in the future but, who knows?!
What do you think about Black Spotted? Yay or nay?

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!
Today I received my order. The nail polishes were put in a Sephora paper bag with NO WRAPPING, NO PROTECTION, NOTHING. You can see the results in my pics. Everything is destroyed. I paid 15.90€ of shipping and handling costs from France to Italy and I even didn't deserve a bit of pluriball or similar.

I contacted Sephora via their website form, I wrote on their FB wall and, after many hours, they wrote me that they will contact me on Monday, even if their Customer Care works on Saturdays. I'm not the only one who have had this problem, I saw a pic from an English lady and her stuff are even in worse conditions than mine. 

For this reason, I don't personally recommend to buy from them FOR THE MOMENT. I hope they will fix the problem ASAP.
