Buonasera a tutte!
Notate qualcosa di strano nella foto di cui sopra? Mi sa di sì. La mano che vedete non è la solita, la sinistra. Purtroppo domenica scorsa è deceduta, senza apparente motivo, l'unghia dell'anulare della mia swatching hand. Semplicemente mi son svegliata e non c'era più l'unghia. In compenso il dito mi faceva un male cane e pulsava da matti.

Aiutoooooo! In questo momento sono le 23.31 e mi sa che stavolta non ce la farò a postare prima della mezzanotte. Ma in fondo l'importante è mostrarvi la mia interpretazione del tema mensile della Birthstone Challenge, no?!

Orly Naughty or Nice Collection: swatches and review (II part)

E' mia ferma intenzione travolgervi con un mare di glitter... C'è forse scelta migliore della seconda parte della Naughty or Nice Collection di Orly?!? Qui trovate i primi tre smalti, e qui la presentazione iniziale.

Devil May Care: tripudio di piccoli glitter rossi e glitter dorati più grandi ed esagonali in base trasparente. Contiene così tanti particelle glitterose che può tranquillamente essere usata da solo, e non solo per il layering.
Su indice, medio e mignolo potete vedere come appare una passata di Devil May Care su due mani di Orly Torrid. Sull'anulare, invece, trovate due mani di Devil May Care da solo.
A me piace in entrambi i modi, anche se forse il Torrid riesce persino a dargli quel tocco ulteriore di luminosità.

Devil May Care has a clear base and lots of small red glitters and bigger hex gold glitters. 
It can be used alone of over another polish. 
On my ring finger you can see two generous coats of Devil May Care; on the rest of my nails, one coat of Devil May Care over two coats of Torrid. 
I like it in both ways, maybe a bit more over Torrid because I think it gives an extra touch of sparkle to the glitters.

Angel Eyes: aaaaaah, il mio preferito del terzetto. Base azzurra molto sheer con glitter piccoli anch'essi azzurri e glitter esagonali olografici. Anche in questo caso, vi mostro come appare sia layerizzato che da solo. Su indice, medio e mignolo una mano di Angel Eyes sopra una di H&M U Must Have This. Sull'anulare, tre mani di Angel Eyes. In questo caso preferisco di gran lunga come appare l'Angel Eyes da solo, raggiunge un'intensità ed una luminosità pazzesche!

Angel Eyes is my fav one of this second part. It is a mix of small blue glitters and holographic hex glitters in a sheer blue base. 
This one too can be used alone or for layerings. On my ring finger you can see three coats of Angel Eyes; on the rest of my nails I applied one coat of Angel Eyes over one coat of H&M U Must Have This.
In this case I prefer Angel Eyes used alone, I love the intesity it has!

Infine, Halo: un incontro di glitter dorati ed argento sempre in base trasparente. Nelle mie foto potete vedere Halo da solo sull'anulare (due passate generose) oppure come appare una passata sopra lo Stargazer 237 su indice, medio e mignolo. Anche in questo caso, lo preferisco da solo, anche se tornando indietro penso che lo sovrapporrei ad un oro foil, e non ad un oro perlato come lo Stargazer.

In the end, Halo: a mix of silver and gold glitters in a clear base. On my ring finger I applied two generous coats of Halo, on the rest of my nails there's one coat of Halo over two coats of Stargazer 237. Also here, I prefer Halo alone. But I have to say that I have to try it over another kind of gold (maybe a foil gold would be better than a pearl one like the Stargazer).

La formula è grandiosa per tutti e tre e l'applicazione è fantastica. Nel caso indossiate Halo e Angel Eyes da soli consiglio di aspettare qualche minuto tra una mano e l'altra per agevolare l'asciugatura degli strati ed evitare paciughi.
In conclusione, questa collezione mi è piaciuta tantissimo: risponde perfettamente al mio bisogno compulsivo di glitter e con Miss Conduct mi ha regalato un tocco olografico a dir poco abbagliante. Completano il tutto un rosso che più natalizio non si può come Torrid e un rosso più classico ma dal finish inusuale come Unlawful. Voi cosa ne pensate? Ma soprattutto, vi sentite più Naughty o più Nice?! Buon week-end a tutte!

Formula is great on all these polishes and application is super easy. If you want to wear Halo and Angel Eyes alone I'd suggest to wait a few minutes between each coat.
In conclusion, I really love this collection: it has a lot of fabulous glitter polishes and a stunning scattered holo like Miss Conduct. 
I also love Torrid, the perfect red for Christmas, and Unlawful, a super nice and classic red with a particular finish.

Playing with CND Crimson Sparkle and stamping

Ciao ragazze!
Come vi ho detto giovedì, questo è un post programmato, io mi trovo sul cucuzzolo della collina dove non c'è speranza di consultare Internet. Quindi torno a scusarmi con voi se non potrò rispondere ai commenti prima di domenica sera.
Ricordate il CND Inkwell? Ricordate che vi avevo detto che vi avrei mostrato come trasformarlo con un CND Effect?
Ecco dunque a voi come Inkwell cambia drasticamente grazie ad una generosa mano di CND Crimson Sparkle, uno shimmer duochromatico (a seconda della luce appare rame o violetto). Sull'anulare ho invece deciso di fare un piccolo decoro con lo stamping (plate A15 di Shirley di Dashica Beauty) e poi ho steso una passata, stavolta molto sottile, sempre di Crimson Sparkle.
Io mi son divertita tanto a trasformare Inkwell, spero che il risultato sia piaciuto anche a voi!

As I wrote in my last post, I don't have access to Internet in these days so this is a programmed post. Again, I'm sorry if I can't reply to your comments before Sunday evening or Monday.
Well: do you remember CND Inkwell? I wrote that I love playing with CND Effects or any other sheer polish over dark and creme bases, and this is the result.
I applied a very generous coat of CND Crimson Sparkle, which is shimmer but also duochrome (it is copper or violet depending on the light), over Inkwell. I did something different on my ring fingers: first I stamped a design (A15 plate by Shirley from Dashica Beauty) and then I applied a thin coat of Crimson Sparkle.
Transforming Inkwell was really fun for me, hope you enjoy the final result!

Orly Royal Navy featuring Nfu Oh #52

Buonasera a tutte!
Era già da parecchio che non mettevo in campo uno degli spettacolari smalti flakies della Nfu Oh, per cui mi sembra il caso di rimediare.
Ho deciso di combinare il favoloso Royal Navy di Orly con l'Nfu Oh 52, poiché mi sembravano combinarsi bene per via della comune base blu.
L'Nfu Oh 52 ha, per l'appunto, una base jelly blu-violacea piuttosto sheer in cui fluttuano flakies di diverse dimensioni turchesi e verde smeraldo. Purtroppo non si può apprezzare in tutta la sua bellezza perché sono stata impossibilitata ad effettuare foto al sole causa maltempo, ma credo sia spettacolare anche così!
E' agevole da applicare, asciuga in fretta e dona un tocco di magia a qualsiasi colore cui lo sovrapponiate.
Adoro, adoro e adoro, cos'altro dire?!?

Hi ladies!
I haven't posted a Nfu Oh polish since a lot of time, so it's time to make it up!
I decided to layer #52 over Orly Royal Navy. Infact, #52 has a blue-purple base which creates a perfect combo with Royal Navy.
Nfu Oh #52 has the usual sheer, jelly base typical of polishes from Opal Series and also has turquoise-green flakies. I am really sorry that I couldn't take pics in direct sunlight (it's still raining here in Italy...) but, anyway, I think this combo is super nice also with bad weather!
Moreover, #52 is super easy to apply (great formula as usual) and it can "pimp" any polish you will use as a base.
Love it, love it, love it, do I have to say more?!?

OPI Suzi says Feng Shui featuring Nfu Oh #53

Un altro appuntamento coi meravigliosi flakies di Nfu Oh!
Sotto a chi tocca, dunque, ovvero al #53. Ha una base piuttosto sheer ed azzurra, in cui è annegata la solita, incantevole miriade di flakies verdi, turchesi e rosa.
Secondo me il gioiellino ha il suo potenziale anche se indossato da solo, ma in quest'occasione ho voluto usare come base il Suzi Says Feng Shui di OPI, un azzurro polvere creme, e impreziosirla con due mani di Nfu Oh #53.
Come il #44, che vi ho mostrato qui, si asciuga alla velocità della luce e, oltre ad abbellire persino il più noioso dei creme, ne prolunga la longevità e vi dà la possibilità di sbizzarrirvi con le combinazioni.
Lo amo, cos'altro aggiungere?
E voi, cosa ne pensate di questi flakies? Fanno gasare anche voi o vi lasciano del tutto indifferenti?

ps. ovviamente prometto uno swatch del Suzi Says Feng Shui solo soletto... E' che ho tanta carne al fuoco, il materiale è davvero parecchio e mi manca solo il tempo di fare tutto! Ma piano piano... :)

Another post with a stunning Nfu Oh polish from the Opal Series!
This is Nfu Oh #53, which has a light blue and quite sheer base. Lots of green, turquoise and pink flakies are drowned in this base.
In my opinion, Nfu Oh #53 can be used even alone (maybe three coats required?), but in my photos you will see a layering: two coats over OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui, a creme dusty blue.
As it brother #44, it dries lightning fast, it embellishes even the most boring of your creme polishes, extends the longevity of your coloured base and offers a lot of possible combos.
What do you think of Nfu Oh flakies? Are you a fan of them or not?

Kiko #235 featuring Nfu Oh #44

Non è un mistero che io adori la Nfu Oh: è assai chiaro sin già da una rapida lettura delle mie FAQs!
Oltre ad avere una collezione di olografici a dir poco stupefacente, il marchio coreano si distingue per la Opal Series, che raccoglie numerosi smalti dalla base per lo più sheer, ma grondante meravigliosi e multicolour flakies. Adoro, adoro, adoro gli Opal, offrono un range di combinazioni pressoché infinito e donano una marcia in più anche alla base più anonima.
Il primo che ho deciso di mostrarvi è il numero 44, un arancio acceso con flakies dorati, gialli e aranciati (ovviamente!). Ho immediatamente pensato che la morte sua fosse sopra al Kiko #235, che vi ho già mostrato una manciata di giorni fa.
A voi l'ardua sentenza: abbinamento azzeccato o meno?

I love, love and love Nfu Oh. And it's not a news, expecially if you have read my FAQs!
I've already showed you some polishes from the stunning Hologram Series, but the korean brand has another ace in the hole: the Opal Series! 
The Opal Series is composed of several polishes with a sheer base (usually) which is full of wonderful, gorgeous and multicoloured flakies. Again, I have to repeat how much I love the Opal Series, because it offera countless combinations, and these polishes are able to reawaken the most boring coloured base.
Today I'm going to show you Nfu Oh #44, a bright orange with golden, yellow and orange (of course!) flakies. I immediately thought that it would be perfect on Kiko #235 (please click on the link if you want to see this polish on its own). 
In your opinion, was I right?

Kiko #267 featuring CND Effects in Jade Sparkle

Come vi avevo anticipato nel mio scorso post, dopo nemmeno tre giorni dall'applicazione il mio buon Kiko #267 ha iniziato ad avere cedimenti strutturali. Dopo aver tamponato la perdita di colore, ho deciso di mimetizzare le correzioni col bellissimo CND Effects in Jade Sparkle.
I CND Effects sono prodotti nati per il layering: sono infatti molto sheer ma danno dei riflessi favolosi al vostro smalto colorato sottostante.
Nella mia modesta opinione, danno il loro meglio se sovrapposti a smalti scuri dal finish creme, ma le combinazioni sono infinite!
Nelle foto, infatti, potete vedere il Jade Sparkle in azione su uno smalto vagamente shimmer, arricchendolo di miriadi di punti luce dorati e verde giada.
Inutile dire che lo adoro!

As I wrote in my last post, after less than three days Kiko #267 has started to have "structural failure". I had to reapplicate the nail polish in several points and then decided to camouflage the corrections with the beautiful CND Effects in Jade Sparkle.
CND Effects are products designed for layering: they are very sheer but give beautiful reflects to the polish underneath. 
IMHO, they are incredible over dark nail polishes with creme finish but, of course, the combinations are endless! 
In my photos, infact, you can see the Jade Sparkle in action on a shimmer nail polish, enriching it with a gazillion of gold and jade points of light. 
Do I need to say that I love it?
