Ciao a tutte!
Visto che il caldo soffocante non accenna a mollare, noi ce ne siamo andati a trascorrere un week-end in collina. Il rientro è stato quanto più di traumatico, ma almeno abbiamo avuto un paio di giorni di tregua!
In ogni caso, sapete che questi fiammeggianti lunedì estivi portano con sé un appuntamento olografico insieme a Simona di Light Your Nails.

Ma com'è ho potuto trascurare gli smalti multichrome per tanto tempo?
Non so, fatto sta che, contestualmente alla puntata dedicata della Finishpedia, m'è tornata una gran voglia di indossarne.
Dato che qualche giorno fa avevo su una perfetta mutanda quale lo Shaka Cerulean Sins, ho colto l'occasione per layerizzarci sopra una stupefacente bellezza brasiliana, ovvero l'Hits Speciallità Chameleon.

Post veloce per mostrarvi uno dei rarissimi smalti brasiliani che, in tutta onestà, non mi ha fatto proprio ululare di piacere. Si tratta dell'Hits Speciallità Moscou (collezione Glitter's World dedicata alle maggiori capitali mondiali), qui mostrato sopra l'Essence Crush on Blue.

Il nostro Holo Friday è ormai per me una scusa per mostrarvi tonnellate di smalti brasiliani. Rispetto alla entry della scorsa settimana cambiamo brand e colore, ma rimaniamo sempre nel campo dell'holo linear, per quanto decisamente meno appariscente.

Notate qualcosa di strano nella foto di cui sopra? Mi sa di sì. La mano che vedete non è la solita, la sinistra. Purtroppo domenica scorsa è deceduta, senza apparente motivo, l'unghia dell'anulare della mia swatching hand. Semplicemente mi son svegliata e non c'era più l'unghia. In compenso il dito mi faceva un male cane e pulsava da matti.

Aiutoooooo! In questo momento sono le 23.31 e mi sa che stavolta non ce la farò a postare prima della mezzanotte. Ma in fondo l'importante è mostrarvi la mia interpretazione del tema mensile della Birthstone Challenge, no?!

Rainbow 2.0: Orange! [Hits Speciallità Demeter]

Avete presente quel tipo di giornata in cui non avete il tempo nemmeno di soffiarvi il naso???
Ecco, per me è accaduto così qualche giorno fa, proprio quando avrei dovuto swatchare l'Hits Speciallità Demeter (collezione No Olimpo 2011). In genere, durante la settimana, fotografo gli smalti durante la pausa pranzo o sigaretta, ma manco quei preziosi minuti sono riuscita a recuperare.

Best of 2013 - Nail Polish Edition

E anche quest'anno è giunto il momento di tirare le somme sui miei preferiti in campo smaltifero.
Devo ammettere che il bilancio è un tantino più "moscio" di quello dell'anno scorso: che il 2012 sia stato in effetti più produttivo (per i miei gusti) o che io sia diventata semplicemente più difficile da stupire?
In ogni caso, eccovi la mia carrellata!

This year is almost gone, so it's time to talk about my favourite products of 2013. I'm going to start with nail polish. I have to say that last year my list was longer, maybe I am becoming more and more hard to please?
Anyway, these are my picks!

Trend of the year

Smalti Textured: al primo posto, tanto per non smentirmi. Io sono rimasta a dir poco rapita, e ormai lo sanno anche i piloni di cemento dei viadotti, da questo nuovo finish. Nella mia opinione, i brand che meglio hanno saputo interpretare il textured sono stati Golden Rose, Wjcon e Zoya. Esattamente in quest'ordine. Golden Rose e Wjcon perché hanno saputo coniugare varietà di colorazioni e bellezza delle stesse con un prezzo davvero abbordabile, Zoya perché offre un portfolio di sfumature più contenuto ma egualmente affascinante (seppure ad un prezzo quasi proibitivo per noi italiane).

Textured nail polishes: easy choice. You all know that I'm crazy in love with this new finish. In my opinion, the best textured nail polishes are by Golden Rose, Wjcon and Zoya. Exactly in this order. Golden Rose and the recently born Italian brand Wjcon have created stunning shades and their prices are affordable. Zoya has offered a smaller variety of colours and shades and they're not so cheap (at least here in Italy), but I still love them.

Hits Speciallità Melon [Hello Kitty Collection]

Buon sabato a tutte!
Oggi vi mostro uno smalto di cui avevate già avuto un assaggio qualche post fa, in occasione della mia ultima one stroke floreale. Sto parlando dell'Hits Speciallità Melon, facente parte di una delle tante collezioni dedicate dal brand brasiliano a Hello Kitty. Non so se l'avevo già accennato, ma io detesto Hello Kitty. Di un odio ancestrale, immotivato ma profondo. Devo ammettere che l'idea di avere nel mio stash una boccetta di smalto a forma della malefica gattaccia non mi esaltava ma... Beh, quando un colore è bello e costa poco più di 1€... In fondo chisseneimpippa?!?
Il Melon è un bellissimo verde carico dal finish jelly; una volta asciutto appare quindi lucidissimo, tuttavia ci vogliono tre passate (per fortuna facili) per ottenere la coprenza perfetta. I tempi di asciugatura non sono proprio veloci, ma si fa perdonare con la durata, che è veramente buona.
Insomma, per il prezzo che ha ne sono rimasta davvero entusiasta.

Hi ladies and good Saturday!
Today I'm going to show you in detail a nail polish that I've already used for my last floreal one stroke manicure, so you have already had a sort of sneak peek on it. I'm talking about Hits Speciallità Melon, from one of the many collections that the brazilian brand dedicated to Hello Kitty.
First-of-all, I must admit that I hate Hello Kitty. I really, deeply hate her. I can't stand her face and all the gadgets with her image (if you're a fan of her, please forgive me! ç_ç ).
The bottle of this nail polish has the shape of Hello Kitty's face and at that point you can easily imagine that I don't like it (even if I think it is super cute if you're a fan) but honestly... Who cares?!? The colour of this nail polish is absolutely amazing and it was super cheap too (I paid it about 1€). I couldn't resist!!
Anyway, Hits Speciallità Melon is a bright green with a jelly finish; it looks super glossy once dried, but it's a bit sheer (three coats in my pics, but application was super easy). Drying time is not fast, and longevity is quite high.
My final verdict is that I'm enthusiast about this nail polish, expecially if I consider how cheap it was. And that's all I have for you today, thank you for reading and watching and have a super nice week-end!

Mish Mash Challenge #12: FLOWER [One Stroke + Vintage Daisies Nail Arts]

Hi ladies!
For this appointment of our Mish Mash Challenge I have two nail arts for you!
The first nail art is a one stroke, I made a second attempt with lilies... I'm still not satisfied, at all, but I think it looks much better than my first try. In case you are wondering, I used Hits Speciallità Melon (Hello Kitty Collection) as base colour and a mix of Basic Beauty #71 and #103 to add a touch of sparkle.
The second nail art is much easier to do and even much more goodlooking (in my opinion)! I called it "vintage daisies" because I made this nail art one year and a half ago, I think it's the third nail art I have ever made!!! I used Color Club Foil Me Once as a base colour, Essence In the Jungle (first version) for steams and leaves plus acrylic colours and rhinestones to create the daisies.

Oggi piatto ricco, ho due nail art per voi per il tema flower della Mish Mash.
La prima nail art è una one stroke, mi sono incaponita con le calle (ma chi me l'ha fatto fà), e anche se è evidente che questo design non fa per me e forse forse è meglio che io lasci perdere (!), sono comunque sensibilmente migliorata rispetto al primo tentativo. Il colore di base è l'Hits Speciallità Melon (Hello Kitty Collection) ed ho poi usato i Basic Beauty #71 e #103 per aggiungere un tocco di luce.
La seconda nail art è assai più semplice da realizzare e anche molto più carina, secondo me! L'ho chiamata "margherite vintage" perché l'ho fatta ben un anno e mezzo fa, credo che sia stata la terza nail art in assoluto che io abbia mai creato. Il colore di base è il Color Club Foil Me Once, poi ho usato l'Essence In the Jungle per i gambi e le foglie e i colori acrilici e alcuni strass per disegnare le margherite. 
E anche per oggi è tutto, spero vi sia piaciuto il doppio post e a presto!

Hits Speciallità Seapunk Mermaid

Ciao ragazze!
Finalmente, rieccomi con un altro smalto, lo splendido Hits Speciallità Seapunk Mermaid della collezione Mari Moon Cosmic Glitter.
Seapunk Mermaid ha base trasparente con migliaia di particelle glitter multichrome: possono essere viola, o blu, o verdi, o rosse od ancora arancio. Nelle mie foto potete vedere due mani di Seapunk Mermaid sopra uno strato di Chanel Vendetta (viola scurissimo).
L'applicazione è semplice e l'asciugatura è rapida. Inoltre, è Big3Free. Lo amo, ma proprio tanto!

I'm finally back with a new nail polish, that's the beautiful Hits Speciallità Seapunk Mermaid from Mari Moon Cosmic Glitter Collection. 
Seapunk Mermaid has a clear base and lots of multichrome glitter particles: they can be purple, or blue, or green, or red, or again orange. In my pics you can see how two coats of Seapunk Mermaid look over one coat of Chanel Vendetta (very dark purple).
Application is easy and it dries fast. Moreover, it's Big3Free. I absolutely love it!

[Haul] From Brazil with love

Beh, ad essere completamente oneste questo non è esattamente un post haul, perché questi bambini mi sono arrivati come regalo da parte di mio cognato che, dopo tanti anni, è finalmente tornato in Italia a trovarci. Sono stata una ragazza fortunata, ho potuto scegliere io stessa ogni singolo smalto da far entrare in casa mia, on line e comodamente seduta sul mio divano.
Ma andiamo a vedere uno per uno i miei nuovi tesori!

Mish Mash Challenge #09: BLUE [Hits Speciallità Apolo]

Hi ladies and welcome back to our Mish Mash Challenge!
The theme of the day is blue, and I picked a wonderful nail polish, Hits Speciallità Apolo from No Olimpo Collection (old version). I'd like to wear as many holographic nail polishes as possible before the good weather and the sunny days end! I own this brazilian and exotic beauty thanks to my brother-in-law who sent it to me (with many other goodies) a few months ago.
So... Apolo is a stunning, wonderful, gorgeous, amazing blue with a linear holo effect. I really love the color, this shade is so vibrant, deep and intense! Please note that the rainbow effect is much more visible in real life than in my pics. Application is wonderful and formula is just perfect; two thin coats in my pics, it dries fast and has an excellent longevity too.
Just a small note on No Olimpo Collection 2011: these polishes are NOT Big3Free, so Hits Speciallità decided to make a new line a few months ago with a Big3Free formula. IMHO some shades were better in the older version, and Apolo is among them. Anyway I'm pleased that the brazilian brand met the consumers who pay attention to the ingredients of the nail products.

Ciao a tutte e ben ritrovate con un'altra puntata della Mish Mash Challenge!
Il tema del giorno è blu, e tenendo fede alla mia filosofia attuale, ovvero cercare di indossare più smalti holo possibile prima della fine delle belle giornate, ho deciso di indossare Apolo della collezione No Olimpo del brand brasiliano Hits Speciallità, nella vecchia versione (2011). Questa esotica e travolgente bellezza è arrivata a me grazie a mio cognato, che me lo ha spedito qualche mese fa insieme ad una tonnellata di altra roba spettacolare. 
Dunque... Apolo è uno splendido, incredibile, favoloso blu dall'effetto holo linear. Trovo che questa sfumatura di blu sia semplicemente stupefacente, così intensa, vibrante e profonda. L'effetto holo, poi, è molto meglio di persona che nelle mie foto. In ogni caso, l'applicazione è semplicissima e scorrevole, la pigmentazione è molto buona (due mani sottili nelle foto), asciuga in fretta e ha eccellente durata.
Una piccola nota sulla collezione No Olimpo del 2011: questi smalti non sono Big3Free, per cui Hits Speciallità ha deciso di riformularli completamente qualche mese fa. Nella mia modesta opinione molti colori erano meglio nella vecchia versione, e Apolo è uno di questi. Tuttavia sono molto contenta che il marchio brasiliano abbia deciso di andare incontro alle richieste delle consumatrici più attente all'INCI.

Holothon #04: Hits Speciallità Hera

Alcuni smalti sono magici. Avete presente? Quel tipo di smalti che potete vedere in migliaia di foto, ma solo nel momento in cui li indossate capite davvero quanto speciali siano.
E non perché le foto che avete visto non siano accurate o ben fatte, perché lo sono, eccome: semplicemente, perché alcuni smalti hanno una magia che si sprigiona nel momento in cui stendete la prima pennellata.
E questo è ciò che mi è accaduto con l'Hits Speciallità Hera (collezione No Olimpo 2011), un verde ottanio dal notevole effetto holo linear. Pensate al mare dei Caraibi e aggiungeteci un tocco di polverina fatata, ed ecco qui come appare Hera.
Due mani nelle mie foto, l'applicazione è davvero fluidissima ma ho avuto qualche problemino con l'asciugatura: non so se sia dipeso dal caldo o da altri fattori, ma ci ha messo un bel po' ad asciugare. Ho riprovato mettendo un top coat (non fast drying) e le cose sono decisamente migliorate.
Riguardo alla durata: beh, eccezionale! E' vero che ce l'ho su da tre giorni e mezzo, ma in questo lasso di tempo ne ho combinate più di Bertoldo: ho lavorato due giorni in cava, mi sono fatta due docce al giorno e mi sono lavata tre volte i capelli, ciononostante noto solo un leggero tipwear. Fantastico!
E anche per oggi è tutto, buon fine settimana donzelle e grazie a tutte coloro che ieri mi hanno fatto gli auguri!

Some nail polishes are simply magical. You know, I'm talking about that kind of polish that you can see photographed in thousands of pics, but only when you wear it you really understand how special it is. 
And not because the photos you saw are not accurate or well done, because they are, but simply because some nail polishes have a magic touch that is released when you apply your first coat. 
This is what happened to me with Hits Speciallità Hera (No Olimpo collection 2011), a teal green with a strong holo linear effect. Think about the Caribbean sea and add in a touch of fairy powder, and here it is how Hera looks. 
Two coats in my pics, application is really smooth and easy but I had some problems with drying time: maybe it was the super hot weather, maybe other factors, but it took quite a lot to dry. 
I tried again with a top coat (not a fast drying one) and things have definitely improved. 
Talking about its longevity, well, it's exceptional! I've been wearing it for three days and a half, but during this time I got up to all kinds of things: I worked for two days in a quarry, I got two showers a day and I washed my hair three times in less than four days but I only have a slight tipwear. Fantastic!

Twinsie Friday: duochromes! [Hits Speciallità Mari Moon Cutie Pie]

Ultimo appuntamento coi nostri Twinsie Friday dedicati agli smalti duo e multichrome, ma non preoccupatevi, il nostro appuntamento settimanale cambia veste ma non sparisce!
Per il post finale mi gioco il carico di briscola, il pezzo da novanta, er mejo der mejo... Tradotto, Hits Speciallità Cutie Pie della collezione Mari Moon.
Certamente è tra gli smalti più favolosi in mio possesso, ed è difficile trovare le parole per rendergli giustizia. Può essere blu scuro oppure viola, verde smeraldo brillante oppure aranciato, od ancora rosso scuro... Ho fatto qualche migliaio di foto ma non sono riuscita a coglierne tutte le strabilianti sfumature. Dire che è camaleontico e complesso è riduttivo!
Nelle mie foto, una mano di Cutie Pie sopra l'Illamasqua Viridian. Il pennello è il solito degli Hits, largo e piatto. La formula è perfetta, si applica una meraviglia, ed asciuga anche in fretta.
Cosa aggiungere? Niente. Sono senza parole. Credo sia la perfetta ciliegina sulla torta.

For my final post I picked another Brazilian beauty by Hits Speciallità, that's Cutie Pie from Mari Moon collection. 
I have 700 polishes in my stash and Cutie Pie is probably one of the my favourite ever. I have never seen something similar... It can be blue, it can be purple, or bright emerald green, or orange, or dark red... And I can assure you that in real life it is even more complex, I couldn't capture all its endless hues.
I can't find the right words to describe how stunning and chamaleonic it is!
In my pics you can see one coat of Cutie Pie over one coat of Illamasqua Viridian. The brush is quite flat and large, formula is nice and it applies easily. It also dries fast.
What else? Cutie Pie is pure perfection. No more words to say.

Twinsie Friday: duochromes! [Hits Speciallità Mari Moon Dreamer]

Buongiorno ragazze,
e buon venerdì a tutte! Come ormai sapete, è nostra consuetudine mostrarvi smalti cangianti in questo giorno, ed oggi vi porto di nuovo in Brasile grazie al Dreamer, appartenente alla linea Mari Moon di Speciallità Hits. Nelle mie foto vedete il risultato di una sola passata di Dreamer sopra due mani di Nfu Oh #119, un blu scuro intenso e dal finish semi-jelly.
Come il suo predecessore Unconventional, ha una formula densa ma piacevole da stendere, e pennello largo e piatto.
E anche in questo caso siamo davanti ad un Signor Multichrome: il colore predominante è il viola, ma possiamo vedere anche rosso, arancione, blu. Credo sia possibile descriverlo con sole due parole: un sogno!
Non voglio perdermi ulteriormente in chiacchiere dato che qui sotto ci sono una vagonata di foto che di certo rendono molto bene la bellezza di questo smalto, quindi vi saluto e vi auguro uno splendido fine settimana!

Here I am again with a duochrome polish! And I have another brazilian beauty to show you: Speciallità Hits Dreamer, which belongs to Mari Moon series. 
For my pics I decided to layer one coat of Dreamer over two coats of Nfu Oh #119, which is a deep and dark blue with a semi-jelly finish.
Similarly to its "brother" Unconventional, its formula is a bit thick but easy to apply and the brush is quite large and flat.
As you can see, this polish is simply stunning: the predominant color is an intense purple, but it can be orange, red or dark blue too. It's a dream!
Words can't express how beautiful it is, so I think it's better if I simply show you the (many) pics I took.
