Essence Cotton Candy from Circus TE

Buonasera a tutte!
Ricompaio, sollevandomi a fatica dal mio letto di dolore (sì, ancora lombalgia, e molto peggiore di quella di due mesi fa), per mostrarvi un altro smalto della Circus TE di Essence.
Anche questo smalto mi è piaciuto tantissimo, il creme ha una pigmentazione pazzesca, una passata e via!
Come per il collega Applause, Applause, si tratta di uno smalto duo con un creme da un lato e un glitter dall'altro.
Il creme nella boccetta appare come un rosa carico, ma steso sulle unghie si scurisce virando leggermente verso il viola. Mi ricorda un po' Mr. Big, sempre di Essence, sebbene sia decisamente più chiaro.
Il glitter, invece, è composto dalla solita base trasparente in cui sono presenti tantissimi microglitter fuchsia. Mi è piaciuto molto perché è decisamente più discreto della versione rossa con glitter quadrati e dalle dimensioni più importanti e, nella mia opinione, può essere tranquillamente usato per una manicure completa, anziché una accent come ho fatto io, senza però rischiare l'effetto stroboscopico. Nelle mie foto vedete il risultato di una mano di creme e due di glitter quindi, volendo, la potete rendere anche più portabile utilizzando un'unica passata di glitter.
Tempi di asciugatura rapidissimi, durata buona.
Peccato non aver trovato anche le altre due colorazioni di questa collezione, questi smalti mi sono piaciuti moltissimo e ho trovato la qualità impressionante per un prezzo tanto piccolo!

Hi ladies!
Finally, here I am again. I have a lumbar contracture (yes, again!) and these lasts days have been awful. I am sick of being sick. Well, it's better if I introduce the polish of the day, Essence Cotton Candy from Circus TE.
I really like this polish, the creme shade has an amazing pigmentation!
Like its "friend" Applause, Applause, it's a duo polish with a creme and a glitter.
Looking at the bottle, the creme shade seems a strong pink. On the nails, the color is darker, with a touch of purple. It reminds me a bit Essence Mr. Big, even if it's lighter.
The glitter has the usual clear base with fuchsia microglitters. I really like it, even more than the red glitters of Applause, Applause: IMO, you can create a subtle but super nice manicure even using it on all nails - and not only for an accent manicure as you can see in my pics.
In my pics I used one coat of the creme polish and two coats of glitter polish; drying time is super fast and longevity good.
I'm sorry that I couldn't find the other two shades of these collections, because I was really impressed by the quality of the two polishes I own. And price, of course, is low!

My New Year Party look

Buonasera ragazze!
Il post arriva in ritardo ma volevo comunque farvi vedere il mio make up dell'ultimo dell'anno. Premesso che mi ritengo una buona dilettante del trucco e non certo un fenomeno, devo anche fare i conti anche con una fotocamera assai antipatica che sembra appiattire i pregi delle mie "opere" e tirar fuori difetti inesistenti. Mah. In queste foto, ad esempio, si è mangiata completamente l'eyeliner in glitter che avevo messo all'attaccatura delle ciglia superiori, la stronza, mentre ha creato una linea di scolorimento nella rima palpebrale che assolutamente non c'era. Non appena le mie finanze saranno più floride (ahahah, battutone!) la signorina verrà defenestrata, tié!
Spero vi piaccia comunque!

I'm a bit late but here it is my New Year Party make up! I know, there's a lot of beauty bloggers who create amazing looks. I'm not among them (sigh). I think I am only a good amateur. Moreover, my photocamera is hateful and not collaborative. It seems it flattens my looks and it highlights nonexistent faults. Sgrunt. In these pics, for example, there's no trace of the glitter eyeliner I used near the eyelash line. Anyway, hope you like it!

Water Marble: green and gold with Essence and H&M

Ultimo post dell'anno!
Spero che lo legga qualcuno e che non siate tutte impegnate a prepararvi per il cenone! Dài, prometto che vi rubo poco tempo: questa è la mia seconda water marble, stavolta l'esperienza è stata meno traumatica. Se volete qualche dritta per non incorrere nei miei stessi errori, vi rimando al mio post introduttivo su questa tecnica.
Per realizzare questa water marble ho utilizzato l'Essence In the Jungle (la prima versione, meglio conosciuta come il dupe dell'OPI Jade is the New Black) e l'H&M Gold.
Devo ammettere che la scelta del Gold non è stata felicissima, è troppo poco pigmentato per risaltare a dovere e ho dovuto fare dei ritocchi a mano. Peccato, perché si allarga perfettamente nell'acqua, la formula è davvero adatta!
Invece In the Jungle è favoloso sotto tutti i punti di vista: bellissimo da solo, perfetto per lo stamping, adattissimo alla water marble. Un vero e proprio gioiellino!

Considerando che il mio 2011 è stato davvero orrido, anzi, cacherrimo, della serie "quasi quasi mò mi stordisco con l'acetone", auspico nell'arrivo di tempi migliori e ripongo le mie speranze in questo giro di boa, incrociando le dita affinché non sia solo un giro della pagina del calendario!!!!
Ed intanto, stasera, si magna, si beve e ci si diverte!

Last post of the year!

Hope you're not too busy and you can find the time to read it. I promise, it will be very short.
This is my second water marble, if you want to read my introduction to this technique you can click here.
I used Essence In the Jungle (the old version, aka the dupe of OPI Jade is the new Black) and H&M Gold. I must admit that Gold wasn't an excellent choice, it is not so pigmented and I had to retouch the final manicure. It's a pity, because its formula is great for water marble.
On the contrary, In the Jungle is the perfect polish: amazing if you wear it on its own, gorgeous for stamping and great for water marbling!

My 2011 was really horrible and awful, so I really hope that the New Year will take me better times, opportunities, etc. I really hope that Italy will have a better future, too. It's a pain to see my beloved country destroyed by corruption and... Lots of other problems that I think you already know.
In the meantime, I'm so looking forward for tonight: food, drink and fun! Yeah!

A New Year's Eve manicure with China Glaze Snow Globe

Buongiorno a tutte!
Ecco a voi quella che sarà (salvo cedimenti strutturali) la mia manicure dell'ultimo dell'anno. La base è il China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, che vi ho mostrato qui ieri.
Solo sulla punta delle unghie ho applicato un generosissimo strato di China Glaze Snow Globe, uno splendido smalto dalla base trasparente ricca di glitter esagonali e tondi di diversi dimensioni e colori (rosa, blu, verde, viola...).
Vicino all'attaccatura dell'unghia ho poi aggiunto una stellina argentata e dai riflessi multicolor.
Semplice ma, nella mia opinione, di effetto! Spero che vi piaccia, e grazie per essere qui!

Good afternoon ladies!
This will be my New Year's Eve manicure (or, at least, I hope it will last until 31st december!!!). Base color is China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, that I showed you yesterday.
I applied, only on my tips, a very generous coat of China Glaze Snow Globe, a gorgeous polish with a clear base rich of hexagonal and round glitters with different dimensions and colours (blue, light blue, purple, pink, green, etc.).
Near the cuticles I also applied a little silver star with multicolor reflects. 
A simply but catchy manicure, in my opinion! Hope you like it and thank you for reading!

China Glaze Blue Year's Eve

Eccomi qui col primo smalto facente parte del graditissimo regalo di Natale del sant'uomo. Quasi non avevo finito di scartarlo che già ero pronta a metterlo su!
Blue Year's Eve è un luminosissimo blu intenso dallo shimmer turchese/blu davvero incantevole. Ha anche un tocco di viola, più visibile nella bottiglietta che sulle unghie. Si applica agevolmente, anche se consiglio passate sottili dato che è particolarmente liquido, ma niente di incontrollabile.
Due passate sono sufficienti per una coprenza soddisfacente e, finora, sta anche confermando l'incredibile longevità che ben conosciamo di China Glaze: ce l'ho su da oltre 3 giorni ed è ancora perfetto, se dovesse subire un tracollo nelle prossime ore aggiornerò il post!
Lo adoro, ed è stato l'unico smalto della Let It Snow che mi ha conquistata assieme a Snow Globe che, però, è un repromote della collezione natalizia del 2010.
Ho in mente una manicure semplice ma d'effetto per Blue Year's Eve, ve la mostrerò domani - se l'idea brillante non si trasformerà in un epic fail, ovviamente!

Hi ladies!
Here I am with the first polish belonging to the beautiful Xmas gift that my boyfriend gave me. When I saw it, I immediately wore China Glaze Blue Year's Eve, I'm really in love with it!
It's a beautiful intense blue with turquoise/blue shimmer, and a touch of violet too. Application is easy, even if formula is a bit runny, so my tip is: do very thin coats! 
For a perfect coverage you will need only two coats and even longevity is really good - I applicated it over three days ago and it's still perfect, but I'll edit the post if something will go wrong!
I really love it, and I'm planning a nice manicure with it, if I'll obtain a nice result I will show it tomorrow.
