Poche settimane fa ho salutato l'estate con questi papaveri in one stroke, e ho pensato che sarebbe stato carino "accogliere" parimenti l'autunno. E cosa c'è di più autunnale delle foglie gialle, oro, arancio e rosse che cadono dagli alberi?!

Vabbé il concetto che voglio esprimere è che lo smalto di oggi, il China Glaze I'm with the Lifeguard, emblema di quel finish neon che conclude la Finishpedia, lascia davvero stupefatte, senza parole e a occhi sbarrati.

Dire che in questi giorni sono stanca è un eufemismo, tuttavia non ho voluto rimandare la stesura di questo post perché ci tenevo a farvi vedere un esperimento nailartoso fatto la scorsa settimana.
Ricordate che l'anno scorso OPI ha lanciato gli smalti Sheer Tints? Una serie di jelly mooolto sheer con cui poter giocare per creare effetti e nail art. Mi erano piaciuti un sacco, ma il prezzo mi aveva frenato dall'acquistarli.
Ma, per fortuna, l'alternativa più economica era già in casa nostra! Il brand milanese Mi-Ny aveva già da tempo lanciato la serie Top 5, composta da 5 smalti jellosi dall'effetto acquarello, attualmente in promozione a soli 2€ cadauno (nel caso non abbiate Mi-Ny nella vostra città, ad ora le spese di spedizione dal sito sono gratis sopra i 20€).

Winter Nail Art Challenge #04: ORNAMENTS

Unfortunately I missed some appointments with our Winter Nail Art Challenge, but I'm finally back!
Today's theme in tinsel or ornaments, and I decided to draw some holographic Christmas ball ornamentes on my nails.
I started with Zoya Toni, a purple creme, as a base. Then I did a sort of reverse glitter gradient with China Glaze Gold Digger and Angel Wings. Moreover, I used China Glaze Cheers to you for the ornaments strings and a lot of holographic nail polishes for the Xmas balls! Here it's the list:

Se seguite il mio blog da un po', saprete sicuramente che non sono il tipo che indossa certi colori in certi periodi "perché è così che va". Non ho problemi a mettermi uno smalto giallo neon di inverno, un rossetto rosso fuoco alle 8 di mattina, un ombretto verde brillante per Capodanno. Ma nel periodo natalizio succede qualcosa di strano e mi viene voglia di cospargere unghie, occhi e labbra dei "soliti noti", per cui vai di rosso, oro, un tocco di verde scuro e argento e ovviamente glitter. Insomma, ecco a voi i miei raccomandati per il periodo natalizio!

If you're a long time follower of my blog you'd probably know that I'm not the kind of person who wears a color in a certain period of the year because of fixed rules. I have no problem in wearing a neon yellow nail polish during the Winter, or a fatal red lipstick at 8 am, or a bright green eyeshadow for a New Year's Eve Party. But during Christmas time I tend to use the same products and "classic" colours for this period: a lot of gold and red with a touch of silver and green. And, of course, glitters everywhere! Well, in short, these are my Christmas favourites!

Mish Mash Challenge #06: HOT [Flames Nail Art]

Hi ladies!
Ready for the sixth appointment of our Mish Mash Challenge?! The theme of the day is HOT, and I decided to create a flamboyant nail art. My boss told me that I could be a perfect testimonial for a famous brand of energetical drink with these nails, lol.
Anyway, for this nail art I started with one coat of white polish (can't remember which one, sorry) and then I did a gradient with China Glaze Thunderbird (the red polish, which is also my favourite red ever), Orly Emberstone (orange) and Orly Melodious Utopia (yellow).
Then I used Essence Fatal (black) to freehand the flames and fill in the background. One coat of Seche Vite and I was ready to go!

Pronte per la sesta puntata della Mish Mash Challenge?! Il tema del giorno è HOT e io ho deciso di creare una nail art fiammeggiante. Il mio capo mi ha detto che con queste unghie potrei essere la testimonial perfetta di un famoso marchio che vende drink energetiche, lol.
Comunque, per questa nail art ho iniziato stendendo una base bianca (non ricordo quale, scusate) e poi ho fatto una gradient a tre smalti usando il China Glaze Thunderbird (che poi è anche il mio rosso preferito di sempre), l'Orly Emberstone (arancio) e Orly Melodious Utopia (giallo).
Ho poi utilizzanto l'Essence Fatal (nero) per disegnare in negativo le fiamme, riempiendo tutti gli spazi. Una mano di Seche Vite ed ero pronta.
Spero vi piaccia, non scordatevi di dare un'occhiata a ciò che hanno combinato le altre donzelle, un abbraccio e a presto!

Holothon #01: China Glaze Strap on your Moonboots

Ed eccoci qui, col primo post di una nuova avventura!
L'estate è finalmente scoppiata, anche dal punto di vista del calendario, e il nostro gruppo di piccole smaltare folli risponde così al suo richiamo: con una maratona a base di olografici!
Per il post #01 ho pescato qualcosa di piuttosto recente come lo Strap on your Moonboots (che razza di nome!) della Hologlam di China Glaze. Una collezione che ha deluso molte, perché ad anni di distanza dalla OMG, che ci aveva fatto impazzire con un effetto holo linear da urlo, ci si aspettava qualcosa di meglio, o che ne fosse per lo meno all'altezza. Invece davvero pochi degli smalti che compongono la Hologlam hanno un effetto arcobaleno ben visibile e definito.
IMO, Strap on your Moonboots è uno dei pochi eletti. Si tratta di un blu notte dall'effetto holo linear poco visibile all'ombra, ma generoso se esposto alla luce solare diretta.
Assolutamente nessun problema di stesura, non necessita di basi apposite e, tenetevi forte... E' un one coater! Ebbene sì, nelle mie foto c'è solo una passata di prodotto!
La durata, se applicato senza top coat, è un po' scarsa (tipico); se volete implementarla ricordate di non usare top coat fast drying perché rovinereste un po' l'effetto psichedelia.
Insomma, nonostante le feroci critiche lette on line verso la Hologlam, io di questo smalto sono davvero entusiasta!

Here we are with our first post of a new adventure!
Today is the summer solstice, and the hot and sunny weather launches a strong call... For holographic polishes!
You all know that I have a fatal attraction for this kind of finish, so I'm really happy of this new weekly appointment. For the first post I picked a quite recent shade, Strap on your Moonboots from Hologlam collection by China Glaze.
I know that this collection has been disappointing from a certain point-of-view: only a few shades (and Strap on your Moonboots is among them) have a visible holo linear effect. Most of them are really plain. The polishaholics expected a sort of "OMG reloaded", but China Glaze didn't satisfy us. What a shame!
Anyway, IMO Strap on your Moonboots is the best shade of the collection. It's a beautiful and unusual midnight blue with a gorgeous holo linear effect. 
Application is easy, you don't need to use an aqua based product; moreover, it's a one coater! Yesss, in my pics you can see only one coat of product. 
Longevity is not the best ever, but you can improve it by using a top coat (not a fast drying one, we all know that kind of TC diminishes the rainbow effect).
I'm in love with this shade, what about you?

China Glaze Something Sweet

Buonasera a tutte!
La stanchezza da lunedì mi pervade, per cui oggi sarò particolarmente stringata... Almeno per oggi bando alla mia logorrea!!!
Lo smalto del giorno è China Glaze Something Sweet, un rosa baby dal finish creme, femminile e davvero adatto ad ogni contesto. Di solito non amo il rosa, a meno che non si accompagni a massicce quantità di glitter, ma Something Sweet mi ha davvero colpita ed affondata: amore puro!
L'applicazione è un tantino difficoltosa, non è semplice stenderlo in modo omogeneo; una passata di un buon top coat, per fortuna, livella il tutto. Due mani per la coprenza perfetta, l'asciugatura è rapida e la durata ottima, in perfetta media China Glaze.
Adoro i colori pastello cremosi, sono la base perfetta per un festoso layering, uno stamping od una nail art. Spero che sia piaciuto anche a voi, grazie per la visita e buona serata!

It's Monday again and I'm very, very tired! This post will be short and quick, which is quite unusual for a chatty person like me!
The nail polish of the day is China Glaze Something Sweet, a soft baby pink with a creme finish. I'm not a huge fan of pinks (with the exception of pink glitters), but I'm in love with this shade, such delicate, feminine and girly.
Application is a bit tricky, its formula is quite streaky. Luckily, a good top coat will help to get an even result. Two coats in my pics, it dries fast and has an excellent longevity too.
I love pastel colors like this, I think they're the perfect base for a funny layering, or stamping, or nail arts. Hope you like it too, thank you for reading and watching and have a nice evening!
