Stamping time: Holographic Chessboard

Ciao a tutte!
Oggi vi propongo uno stamping realizzato lo scorso mese e che mi ha fatto penare non poco...
L'idea iniziale prevedeva il realizzare una scacchiera olografica a tre colori sfruttando un design della mia Big SdP Plate D di Dashica, per cui mi sono messa all'opera arraffando il Jade Energy (blu chiaro holo), il Jade Psicodélica (argento holo) e l'Essence Just Rock It! (blu scuro creme).

My New Year's Eve nails: Fireworks!

Buonasera a tutte e buon 2015!
Scusate per la seconda sparizione in due settimane, ma ho avuto qualche acciacco (aaah, la vecchiaia) oltre ai soliti graditissimi impegni festaioli.
Comunque, oggi vi mostro in leggero ritardo le mie unghie di San Silvestro. Manicure affetta dalla maledizione del "più è figa il nail stamping, meno viene bene in foto". Aaaaah, vi assicuro che non c'è stato verso di renderle, ma che erano davvero figherrime.
Un semplicissimo nero creme e lucido, Essence Fatal, come base, e uno stamping con pattern a fuoco di artificio (plate Dashica Big SdP-D) col favoloso olografico Rare Bear della Colors by Llarowe. Così scintillante e a tema! Spero che apprezziate almeno il tentativo fotografico!!!!
E per oggi è tutto, a presto, devo, devo, devo tornare il prima possibile, ho una marea di post arretrati, se continuo così i preferiti e i peggiori del 2014 ve li mostrerò al prossimo Giubileo!!!

I know, I disappeared once again, but I had some health issues in addition to my festive "commitments".
Anyway, I'm a bit late but I wanted to show you my New Year's Eve nails. This manicure has been affected by a curse: do you know how it feels when you did an amazing nail stamping, you're super happy about the result but you really can't capture all its splendour with your camera?! Well, this has happened to me with this nail art.
In any case, for this nail art I started with Essence Fatal, a simple super glossy black with a creme finish, and then I stamped some fireoworks with my Big SdP-D plate by Dashica using Rare Bear, a gorgeous holo linear by Colors by Llarowe.
It was so sparkly and perfect for New Year's Eve Party!

Innanzitutto vorrei ringraziare tutte per l'entusiasmo con cui avete reagito al mio giveaway, siete state gentilissime e mi avete scritto dei commenti super carini. Grazie!!!
Ammetto di essere indietro nel rispondervi e anche nel "reagire" ad emails e tweets, purtroppo dopo aver avuto, nell'ordine, tosse, raffreddore, febbre, ecc. ecc., mi è venuta anche una simpatica contrattura lombare, e l'unico motivo per cui stasera riesco a star seduta a scrivere è che ho iniziato il ciclo di iniezioni.
Ho 28 anni e son già un catorcio, ma almeno sono 100% naturale e sono completamente biodegradabile, quindi posso sempre essere gettata nel compost!
Comunque, sarà meglio che stringa prima di ricominciare ad ululare dal dolore!
Per questo stamping ho usato come base l'Essence You've got the Art, che sicuramente ricorderete, e ho scelto un pattern con fiori ed altri ghirigori dal plate A15 della bravissima Shirley.
Lo smalto per lo stamping è un classico verde della Konad.
Personalmente prediligo i disegni ad unghia intera, sebbene siano i più difficili da stampare per chi ha le unghie lunghe come le mie: sono infatti costretta a fare la "doppia rollata", cosa che non andrebbe MAI fatta se non volete far casini. Ed in effetti non sempre i miei stamping vengono perfetti, diciamo che uno su quattro non è assolutamente proponibile!
Per oggi è tutto, un bacione e spero che passerete un magnifico fine settimana!

First of all I want to thank you so much for your reactions to my first giveaway, I have received a lot of super nice comments. THANK YOU!!!
Unfortunately I was unable to reply properly, I'm experiencing a lot of health issues in these last weeks and I'm really sick of being sick! Actually I'm suffering of a lumbar contracture, I've just began a course of treatment and finally I can sit down and write here without screaming because of pain.
Oh my god, I'm 28 and I'm already an old lady.
Well, back to us: stamping time! For this mani I used Essence You've got the Art and I chose a design with flowers from SdP A15 (one of the plates of the wonderful Shirley). The polish used for stamping is a classic green by Konad.
I prefer the full nail designs, even if they are difficult to make if you're clumsy and you have long nails like me. But they are sooo pretty!

Ferrari manicure with Chanel Dragon

Devo confessarvi che nel mio cuore c'è una passione ancora più grande di quella per smalti & make up. Ed è quella per la rossa di Maranello!
Sin da quando ho 11 anni seguo con fanatismo tutte le gare di Formula 1, nonché tutto ciò che gravita intorno al circus mondiale dei motori per eccellenza.
Ricordo le lacrime di Alesi in occasione della sua unica vittoria in carriera, quella al Gran Premio del Canada del 1995; ricordo quel tragico weekend di Imola del 1994 in cui persero la vita Ratzenberger e Senna; ricordo ogni singolo trionfo di Michael Schumacher e quel mondiale riportato in Italia 21 anni dopo Scheckter; ricordo Glock che rallenta facendo passare Hamilton e consegnandogli la vittoria del mondiale 2008; ricordo la frustrazione di Alonso dietro Petrov mentre assiste allo sfumare della vittoria nel campionato piloti dello scorso anno...
In passato ho avuto la fortuna di essere in tribuna in occasione dei Gran Premi di Monza ed Imola, ed anche quest'anno ho risposto: "Presente!" al GP d'Italia, svoltosi lo scorso weekend, grazie alla mia amica F. che ha trovato i biglietti!
Quale occasione migliore per sfoggiare una manicure dedicata alla Ferrari?
Il rosso Ferrari è inimitabile, ma giacché lo Chanel Dragon gli si avvicina molto, ho deciso di usarlo come colore predominante. Sull'anulare, la mia dedica: sfondo giallo (Essence Sunshine 4 Ever) con stampato il cavallino rampante.
(in origine era un unicorno, il cui corno, per l'appunto, è stato eliminato direttamente dallo stampino con l'aiuto di un cotton fioc imbevuto di solvente)
So che si tratta di una manicure non perfetta, ma devo dire che è comunque d'effetto e ha riscosso parecchio successo! 

Un rapido excursus delle prestazioni del Dragon: è uno degli smalti più riusciti di Chanel. Un punto di rosso incredibile, lucidissimo anche senza top coat. Si applica meravigliosamente ed è coprente quasi con un'unica passata. Si asciuga in fretta e dura a lungo.
Devo ammettere che è l'unico smalto Chanel in mio possesso che non mi ha scatenato il rimorso del compratore!

I have to confess that in my heart there's a passion which is bigger than my love for nail polishes and make up. This passion is called Ferrari, la rossa di Maranello (which I suppose can be translated: the Red from Maranello).
This passion began when I was 11 years old. Children usually want to see cartoons on TV. I wanted to see Formula 1!
I remember Alesi's tears when he won his first (and last) Grand Prix in Canada. I remember when Ratzenberger and Senna died during the Grand Prix of Imola in 1994. I remember every single win of Michael Schumacher and his first Driver Championship with Ferrari, 21 years after Jody Scheckter. I remember when Hamilton passed Glock and won 2008 World Title. I remember Alonso's frustration when, last year, he couldn't pass Petrov and lost the title.
Last weekend the Formula 1 Circus was in Monza, and I went there thanks to my friend F. who got the passes. So I decided to do this "Ferrari Manicure"!
Ferrari's red is inimitable, for this reason I decided to use the best red in my collection: Chanel Dragon.
On my ring finger I applied Essence Sunshine 4 Ever and also stamped the "cavallino rampante" (rampant horse). In the end I added the Italian flag (green is Essence In the Jungle, an anonymous brand for white, and again Chanel Dragon for red).
I know, this is not a perfect manicure, but I like it so much! And I have received a lot of compliments, too, so I'm really happy with it!


About Chanel Dragon: it's really a great polish! Probably the best polish ever by Chanel. It's a beautiful red shade, it's glossy even without top coat and, if you're careful, it's a one coater! Application is good, it dries fast and has a great longevity.
I usually don't like Chanel's polishes (I think they're overpriced for the quality you get), but this one is really special!

Stamping time: roses, dark orange and SdP A04

Come ho confessato sin dall'inizio, le mie attitudini artistiche sono scarsine. Me la cavo meglio con lo stamping, per cui di tanto in tanto decido di dare un tocco in più alle mie manicures. Qui potete vedere lo smalto dello scorso post, il Models Own Golden Peach, riempito di rose.
Il disegno prescelto proviene da uno dei plates della talentuosa Shirley, l'SdP A04. Mi riprometto di parlarvi un po' più approfonditamente dei suoi prodotti in un prossimo futuro, poiché mi sono piaciuti davvero molto!
Lo smalto usato per lo stamping è invece il Dark Orange della Konad.

As I confessed in my first post, there's no artistic bone in my body. But I love stamping, so here it is the first "konadicure" of my blog. I chose a design full of roses from a SdP Plate, A04. These plates are designed and sold by the talented Shirley. I promise a full review of her products, I think they deserve it!
The stamping polish is Dark Orange by Konad.
