Finishpedia #17: MAGNETIC [Layla Magneffect Silver Galaxy]

Buon 1 novembre a tutte!

Hi ladies and gentlemen!
I know this sounds incredible considering that today's the first day of May, but here in Italy it's rainy, windy and cold. I planned to wear holos only in the next days but I think I have to give up, sob!
Well, let's stop complaining and let's talk about the theme of today's post, that's magnetics!
Magnetics are nail polishes which are enriched with metallic particles that have a different colour from the base shade. Thanks to the action of a magnet, these particles can be distributed in a symmetrical way on the nail and create particular patterns. In general, magnetics are very pigmented and work great for stamping.
The nail polish I picked to represent this finish is Layla Magneffect Silver Galaxy. When I bought it, I was crazy in love with it and I was enthusiast about my purchase. Now, I must admit I am not of fan of this shade and I can't believe I loved it that much! Maybe I don't like magnetics anymore, maybe I don't like this particular shade... I don't know, but this old post of mine demonstrates how much I loved magnetics in the past.
Anyway, Layla Magneffect Silver Galaxy has a silver base enriched with glitters and creates dark grey/black patterns when you use a magnet over it. You have to apply a thick layer of nail polish and then use a magnet over it for 5-10 seconds. Luckily its formula is great, so you can apply the product very quickly and use immediately the magnet over it.
What else? I can't lie, I'm not the greatest fan of this shade. Maybe I'll give another chance to this finish in the future...
And that's all I have for you today, thank you for reading and watching and have a nice evening!

  6. Nice polish :-) I do like magnetics but don't really use them. I went through a phase of buying them and there are still a lot in my untrieds section! :-)
