Summer Favourites!

Buongiorno a tutte!
Comunque, ecco i miei raccomandati dell'estate 2014!
  • Make Up For Ever Aqualiner in #4 Vert Lagon Diamant: avessi a disposizione una carta di credito Super Diamond Opulentia Maxima et Libidinosa, acquisterei tutti gli Aqualiner!
Qualcosa in comune?

Hello my lovely ladies!
We are already in Mid-August, so I think it's time to show you my favourite products of this season.
I won't talk about nail polish because I don't want that this post would be long as much as The Divine Comedy, but maybe I'll write a second episode dedicated to nail lacquers next week.
Anyway, here there are my recommended products for Summer of 2014!
  • Starting from lips products: my most used and loved lipsticks are Illamasqua Atomic and the newcomer Pupa I'm in #405 Electric Fuchsia. The Pupa one is slightly more creamy and less durable than the Illamasqua one, and maybe the shade is more eccentric too, but I can guarantee that they are both lovely. I tend to prefer the Illamasqua during the working week and the Pupa for my free time.
  • But if you want to wear a lipstick in a bright and bold colour, you need moisturized lips. I know that this can seem odd, but during the Summer I need more hydration than during the Winter! In this sense, the Natural Lipbalm by Eva Garden I'm currently using is a really trusted ally. To be perfectly honest, I must admit that I would never have bought this balm if I had known the price: in fact it costs 8 € and I almost had a heart attack when I was at the check-out counter. But luckily I discovered that it has an excellent quality, perhaps it is the best lip balm I've ever tried: it has a light texture but it's really super hydrating. And the moisturizing effect is longlasting too!
  • Make Up For Ever Aqualiner in #4 Vert Lagon Diamant: if I had a Super Diamond credit card I would purchase all the Aqualiners available on the market! But since I don't have it, I only had  two shades, which I love equally; but in these weeks I'm wearing the light and bright green of #4. I usually apply a neutral eyeshadow all over my lid, and then I used Lagon Vert Diamant, a very generous quantity of mascara and I'm done! This Aqualiner is longlasting and it must be removed with a biphasic cleanser.
  • Face products: you may be wondering how a sample like that of Shisheido Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream may end up in a post like that. Well, I've been using those 7 ml of product for over 5 weeks! And I'm in love with it. I hate using a face cream during the Summer, but this one is very fresh, very light, it absorbs in one second and really moisturizes my skin without greasing it.
  • Kiko Soft Focus Foundation in #03 Natural Rose, which is my favorite foundation for the Summer for the past three years. I apply it with a foundation brush by Dior, previously moistened, and with circular motions. It provides a good coverage but with a natural effect, and I don't feel it during the day even if it's very hot.
  • If there is a make-up product that generally does not attract me, well that's the blush. I rarely use it. Things have changed since I bought Essence Blush Up in #20 Pinky Flow. Despite being a bit dusty, I love it: it gives a great "health effect", it's easy to apply and blend, it has a good pigmentation and durability.
  • About body products: I am trying to finish a body cream that I'm really hating, but on the other hand the hand cream I'm using in these months is really fabulolus. I'm talking about Orly Rich Renewal Paradise Cream with pomegranate and lychée. It's very moisturizing but has a light and non-greasy texture, and it smells heavenly.
  • Finally, a soap by L'Erbolario with Tea and Cedar, which I use under the shower with immense satisfaction. It's not particularly moisturizing but it doesn't dry my skin, it smells fabulous and washing my body with this soap is a true pleasure thanks to its freshness.
To complete the Summer look, then, I use super coloured hair clips and earrings by Tarina Tarantino. And what about you? What are your Summer favourites? Anything in common with me?

  3. Nice choices. I'm thinking summer is over in Scotland :-| rain rain rain and it's getting cooler too.

I'm not really a summer person as I burn - never tan and I'm very fair too. The one thing I do love about summer is wear holos and getting amazing photos of them :-)

    1. It seems that Summer has never started here in Italy. We have two orrible months, in June and July it rained a lot and it was cold - for our standards, of course!
Even when I used to live near the sea and I went a lot to the seaside I didn't tan and I burnt... I'm resigned!
