Festeggiamo il primo post da donna sposata?!? Oddio, non che con lo smalto del giorno ci sia granché da gioire. Vediamo insieme perché.

ABC Challenge: V for Nubar Violet Sparkle
Simona, nel suo post relativo alla V, ha scritto che le viene spontaneo dire "V for Vendetta". Io sono più del club del "V for Viennetta", ma solo perché sono ingorda.
Comunque, non ho nessuno smalto che si chiama Viennetta, semmai ho un Vendetta ma non sarà lui lo smalto per la mia V!
Ora che vi ho confuse abbastanza, direi che posso essere un tantino meno delirante: V sta per Nubar Violet Sparkle.
Direttamente dalla collezione Sparkles della primavera 2010, Violet Sparkle ha una base trasparente in cui sono contenuti migliaia di glitterini di un fantastico viola intenso e vibrante, ma anche di un viola più chiaro e tendente al fuchsia. Potrei dirvi che nelle mie foto vedete il risultato di due mani pesanti, ma non sarebbe preciso: ne ho date due badilate. Meglio tre passate più umane, forse.
Ciononostante, si è asciugato alla velocità della luce.
Un consiglio che posso darvi è di passare due volte il top coat o di usarne uno molto corposo: Violet Sparkle rimane davvero molto ruvido, e la prima passata di top coat quasi "se la beve". Per cui, se amate unghie lissssie lissssie e lucide, abbondate!
Ah, se la mia pelle vi sembra di un colore strano, è solo perché ho dovuto cambiare il bilanciamento del bianco per farvi vedere lo smalto nel suo colore reale!
Questa era la mia VVVVVVV, non scordate di guardare le altre entries e... A presto con la W, che sarà una nail art che volevo fare da tanto, troppo tempo!

Violet Sparkle has a clear base with millions of small purple and fuchsia glitters. In my photos you can see the result of two super heavy coats. Maybe three standard coats are better.
This polish dries super fast and needs a very dense top coat (or maybe two coats of TC) because it is rough.
Ops, I forgot: I had to play with white balance to capture its true color, so my skin seems a bit odd in these pictures!

Nubar Reclaim
Arrivo in netto ritardo rispetto ad altri blogs che hanno postato magnifici smalti (o manicure) dedicati a San Patrizio, ma oggi voglio proporvi comunque un meraviglioso verde.
Il Nubar Reclaim è uno dei migliori smalti in mio possesso: al di là del suo colore strepitoso, la sua qualità è davvero eccelsa.
Si presenta come un verde brillante dall'effetto holo linear, evidente anche all'ombra. Si stende meravigliosamente sopra qualsiasi base ed è opaco in due passate sottili. Si asciuga velocemente e ha una durata incredibile. Si può tranquillamente usare un top coat, ne ho provati diversi (non fast drying) e nessuno sminuisce l'effetto olografico.
Verde + holo + ottima qualità: non è difficile immaginare che sia uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto!

Nubar Reclaim is a wonderful bright green with a linear holo effect which is visible also in the shade.
It has an incredible quality too: application is super easy (and you won't need a rubberized base coat), it is opaque in two thin coats and dries super fast.
It has has a very high longevity. You can use a top coat on it because it won't ruin the holo effect - I tried several top coats on it, NOT fast drying.
Green + holo + high quality: you can easily imagine that it is one of my most fav polish ever!

Nubar Gem
Oggi vi parlo dello strano caso del Nubar Gem. Si tratta di uno smalto così phaigo che le parole (e persino le foto) non possono mostrare completamente la sua bealtà.
Mai avrei potuto pensare di cedere ad uno smalto taupe ma, seriamente, come si può resistere al Gem?
Appartenente alla collezione Prism del 2010, Gem è un taupe-grigio chiaro con un effetto olografico pazzesco. Seriamente. Nonostante sia stupendo anche in foto, dal vivo è persino meglio.
Per ottenere la coprenza perfetta sono necessarie tre passate sottili, ma onestamente: chissene? In ogni caso asciuga estremamente in fretta e la formula è ottima, quindi nessuna difficoltà di applicazione.
Potete tranquillamente usare il top coat, non rovinerà il risultato finale e vi consentirà di avere una manicure perfetta per parecchi giorni.
Spero che queste poche righe e le foto rendano giustizia ad uno degli smalti più particolari e strabilianti che io abbia nel mio stash.

It's quite sheer and needs three thin coats to obtain a good coverage. Anyway it dries really fast and formula is perfect, so the application of the three coats is fast and easy.
You can use a top coat on it, it won't ruin the final effect. Longevity is quite high.
I really hope that these few words (and pics) can do justice to this amazing polish!

Post #100: Nubar Night Sparkle
Ciao a tutte!
Ebbene sì, sono arrivata al centesimo post! Alla faccia!
Per un post speciale ci vuole uno smalto speciale, no?
Premetto che ci sono dei brands con cui dovrei scusarmi: nella fattispecie, la stessa Nubar, Orly e Color Club, presenti in modo prepotente nel mio stash dato che li amo alla follia (soprattutto Orly, sebbene Color Club sia uscita con collezioni spaziali lo scorso anno) ma di cui ancora non ho postato nulla.
Per cui, per questo post vi cuccate Nubar, i prossimi due saranno proprio dedicati ad Orly e Color Club.
Nubar Night Sparkle, uscito con la collezione primaverile del 2010, ha una base blu scura con luminosissimi glitter azzurro carico. E' ben pigmentato (due passate sottili sono sufficienti ad ottenere una coprenza perfetta), asciuga rapidamente ed ha una buona durata (4 giorni pieni).
Si tratta di uno smalto affascinante sia col top coat che senza: personalmente preferisco la prima versione, passando il vostro TC preferito vedrete letteralmente i glitter azzurri "illuminarsi".
Dato che i glitter sono piuttosto ruvidi al tatto, consiglio un TC particolarmente corposo (che sia fast drying o no non ha importanza) se amate l'effetto "unghia liscia".
Potete altresì provare a non usarlo, per avere un bell'effetto matte.
Ed ora, le cattive notizie: Nubar non è distribuita in Italia, per lo meno non per il momento, ma è facilmente reperibile on line. Se preferite restare entro i confini europei, consiglio Beauty Bay e Nubar Nailz. Sono venduti anche sul sito Feelunique ma, non avendo mai acquistato (né Nubar né altro), non posso raccomandarlo personalmente. Sconsiglio di acquistare dagli Stati Uniti (strano ma vero!!!!!) giacché la differenza di prezzo della singola boccetta è talmente irrisoria che non giustificherebbe il costo delle spese di spedizione ed alla fin fine andreste a spendere di più.

Special post = special polish. I really can't believe that I haven't posted a nail polish by Nubar, Orly or Color Club yet. I love, love and love these brands (expecially Orly, even if I appreciated a lot Color Club collections of 2011). So, for this post I chose Nubar but in the next few days I'll introduce an Orly and a Color Club polish.
Well: Nubar Night Sparkle, from Spring Collection 2010. It has a deep blue base with super bright blue glitters. It has an amazing pigmentation (two thin coats and you're ready to go), it dries fast and has a good longevity (4 days).
If you want a semi-matte effect, don't use a top coat and it will look beautiful. But I prefer the version with top coat, also because it has chunky glitters and I prefer the "smooth" effect. For this reason, my tip is: use a thick top coat (fast drying or not, this is not important).
Nubar has not an italian distributor so I buy their products on line: I ordered from Beauty Bay or Nubar Nailz. I know that also Feelunique sells Nubar polishes but I have never bought anything from that website so I can't personally recommend it. I don't think I have to recommend stores to US readers, I suppose they know better than me where to buy!!!!
