Ed eccoci di nuovo con un holo, sempre marchiato Pupa!
L'Holographic Strawberry #38 è un rosa deciso ma con un tocco di rosso dall'effetto holo linear non particolarmente "sconvolgente", ma comunque più evidente dal vivo che in foto.
Applicazione scorrevolissima, pigmentazione molto buona ed asciugatura super rapida.
Durata, senza top coat, intorno ai tre giorni.
Per una volta sono riuscita a dire tutto in poche righe, yeah!

Holographic Strawberry #38 is a pink with a touch of red and a soft holo linear effect, which is a bit stronger IRL.
Application is really easy, pigmentation is high and drying time super fast.
Longevity is quite good, considering this is a holo (3 days without top coat).

mi chiamo Cristina e ho un problema: la dipendenza da smalti holo e neon.
C'è chi aspetta la bella stagione per andare al mare o per fare lunghe passeggiate all'aria aperta.
Io l'attendo per poter sfoggiare colori e finish vivacissimi.
Quando, un paio di mesi fa, ho visto per la prima volta la press release della collezione Feel the Vibe di Orly, ho iniziato ad iperventilare. Seriamente, tutti quei neon e tutti insieme?
Quando il corriere ha bussato alla porta del mio ufficio e ho realizzato che quel pacco gentilmente inviatomi da Ladybird conteneva proprio la Feel the Vibe, sono stata tentata dal mettere in atto un professionalissimo comportamento: mollare il lavoro, chiudermi in bagno per aprirlo. SUBITO.
Ma l'attesa, si sa, aumenta il piacere. Come se ce ne fosse stato bisogno.
Comunque, vi lascio con le foto introduttive della collezione ed a qualche considerazione generale, a presto con gli swatches!

People usually wait for spring or summertime so they can go to the beach and similar. I wait for spring or summertime so I can wear crazy and colorful shades and finishes.
You can imagine my excitement when, a couple of months ago, I saw for the first time Orly Feel The Vibe press release. Seriously, all those neons and all together???
When I received the entire collection, thanks to Orly's Italian Distributor, I was so happy and I couldn't wait to open my package!!!
So, this is my introduction of this stunning collection, I will show you the swatches of every single shade ASAP.

Essence It's Two Bright (Season of Extremes)

Rieccomi con un epic win di Essence.
Sempre dalla collezione Season of Extremes, lo smalto duo It's Two Bright si presenta nella solita boccetta doppia contenente 4 ml di prodotto per ciascuna "estremità".
Il blu è un ciano davvero brillantissimo e, analogamente al suo collega We Are All Bright, ha un finish creme talmente luminoso da sembrare jelly. Pigmentatissimo, asciuga anche molto rapidamente. La prima passata è molto fluida ed agevole, la seconda è un po' più laboriosa da fare perché il prodotto risultava piuttosto denso. Lo strano caso dell'addensamento istantaneo?!?
La parte shimmer è davvero uno spettacolo perché è multichrome: si passa dal giallo al rosa per arrivare al verde chiaro.
Evviva!
Trovo che It's Two Bright sia il duo più interessante della Season of Extremes, e sono ben contenta di averlo acquistato.

Here I am again with another epic win by Essence.
It's Two Bright is a duo polish from Season of Extremes LE, and every "extremity" contains 4 ml of product.
The blue part is really an amazing shade; it's so bright that it seems almost a jelly (similarly to the green polish of We Are All Bright duo) and has a great pigmentation too. Application was really easy for the first coat of polish, but it wasn't so also for the second coat, because the product seemed to be much thicker. Weird.
The shimmer part is really gorgeous, it's a multichrome!!! It changes from yellow to pink to light green. I absolutely love it!
I think that It's Two Bright is the best duo from this LE, and I'm really happy that I bought it.

Hits Speciallità Ares

Ed ecco finalmente lo smalto rosso, straniero e holo che avevo promesso di mostrarvi qualche giorno fa.
Si tratta dell'Ares della brasiliana Speciallita ed appartenente alla collezione Hits No Olimpo, ed è uno smalto troppo bello per essere vero!
Si stende che è una meraviglia, quindi niente fisime del tipo: "Base gommosa o meno? Limatina livellante o no?".
Ha una pigmentazione molto buona (due passate sottili nelle foto) ed asciuga velocemente. Un altro problema che non dovete porvi è l'annoso: top coat o no? Evitatevi il disturbo. Questo smalto, forse grazie alla consistenza jelly, dura tantissimo anche senza top coat. Stiamo parlando di sei giorni prima di notare un quasi trascurabile consumo sulle punte.
L'effetto è quello di un holo linear, ed è persino meglio dal vivo rispetto alle foto.
Insomma, è uno smalto incredibile e che come unico difetto ha la presenza del toluene (ma io risolvo tutto con una doppia mano di base).
Ringrazio tantissimo la mia amicicia smaltara Angela per avermelo procurato: ho un cognato di stanza in Brasile da parecchi anni ma che fa finta di non trovarli nonostante sia a due passi da una delle più grosse città brasiliane, ergo senza di lei non avrei mai potuto averlo! Grazieeee!

So, finally the post about the "mysterious" red holo polish that I promised a week ago.
I'm talking about Ares by the Brazilian brand Speciallita (Hits no Olimpo collection). This polish is too good to be true!
Application is a dream, you won't need any rubberized base or special buffer. 
Also pigmentation is really good (two thin coats in my pics) and it dries fast. 
Moreover, with this you can skip the other big question that any polish addicted has when applying a holo polish: top coat or not top coat?
Ares doesn't need a top coat, it will last a lot on your nails - I wore it for six day before noticed a minor tipwear.
In the end, it's an amazing color with a strong linear effect (trust me, it's even better IRL!).
I really love it, and its only defect is that it contains toluene; for this reason I applied two coats of base. 
Even if my brother-in-law lives in Brazil since 2008, he refuses to send me Brazilian polishes. And I'm mad about this. I got Ares and three other shades from Hits no Olimpo collection thanks to my friend Angela. Hope I will be able to do a swap in the future with a Brazilian lady because I desperately want other polishes by Speciallita or other amazing Brazilian brands.

[Haul] My little Holo Army

Precisazione: prima che chiamate la neuro e che facciate un paio di chiamate per farmi sottoporre al T.S.O., sottolineo che non ho certo preso tutti questi smalti per me. Sono andata in missione anche per conto di alcune amiche!
Armata di lista luuuuunga lunga, e coadiuvata da una paziente commessa, ho dunque portato a casa il bottino di cui sotto.
Quasi mi è dispiaciuto lasciarli andare (ho già iniziato a distribuirli alle rispettive e legittime proprietarie), erano troppo bellini tutti in fila!!!
[ps. com'è giusto che sia, quando serve il sole per fotografare degli holo, questo non esce manco a pagarlo]

Note: before you call the psychiatric department, I must clarify that I haven't bought all these polishes for me. I have kept only five of them (#32, #34, #35, #38 and #39), the others were for some friends.
I must admit that I felt a bit sorry when I had to let them go, they were sooo nice all together in a single line!!!!
[of course, when you need sun because you should photograph holo polishes, this disappears behind a lot of clouds]

Pupa Holografic Emerald #32

Ok, ok, so che vi avevo promesso un holo rosso e straniero per il post di oggi. Ma è accaduto un piacevole imprevisto. Ieri mi sono imbattuta nei nuovi holo di Pupa, non ho resistito a provarne uno e, allo stesso modo, non posso resistere a non farvelo vedere subito!
Ho preso il #32 e il #39, ed oggi vi mostro il primo.
Secondo la press release, dovrebbe essere l'Holografic Emerald, ma di smeraldo io non ci vedo niente!!!
E' un bellissimo azzurro acceso che si stende una meraviglia sopra qualsiasi base e ha anche un'ottima pigmentazione, tanto da essere quasi un one coater.
Come immaginerete, asciuga in un lampo. Potete tranquillamente metterci sopra un top coat senza smorzare l'effetto holo. Io ho usato l'Essence Better than Gel Nails, il Quick Time della NYC e il ColorFix di Mavala (tanto per sperimentare). Vi sconsiglio giusto l'ultimo, perché si è letteralmente portato via lo smalto al centro dell'unghia dell'anulare. Non chiedetemi perché!
Un appunto: il top coat non inficia l'effetto holo dal vivo. In foto, invece, la differenza si vede eccome. Evidentemente la lucentezza del top coat "distrae" la macchina fotografica!!!
Ovviamente non posso dirvi molto sulla durata, avendolo indossato solo ieri, per cui mi riprometto di aggiornare il post con questa informazione il prima possibile.
EDIT: durata di tre giorni, dunque non male per essere un holo!

Ok, ok, I know. I promised a red and holo polish for this post. But yesterday I found in my fav store the new holo collection by Pupa. I bought a couple of polishes, immediately tried the first one and now I can't wait to show you the swatches!
The polish of the day is #32. According to the press release, it should be called "Holographic Emerald", but I wouldn't describe this color as an emerald.
It is a super nice light blue with a holo linear effect. Application is really great, you won't need any rubberized base. It also has a great pigmentation - it's nearly a one coater.
As you can easily imagine, it dries super fast. You can apply a top coat on it, because this won't ruin the holo effect. I used three different top coats: Essence Better than Gel Nails, Quick Time by NYC and ColorFix by Mavala. My fav one is Essence; on the contrary, I don't recommend ColorFix because it literally remove a part of the polish from the center of my finger nail!
Just a note: IRL the holo effect is not diminished by the top coat. On the contrary, you can see the difference with/without top coat in the pictures!!! I don't know why, maybe the brightness of the TC "distracts" my camera. 
Obviously I can't say anything on the longevity 'cause I wore it just yesterday, so I will update this post with this information ASAP. 
EDIT: this polish has lasted three days on my nails before chipping.

MAC Force of Love and MAC Runaway Red

Un post relativamente veloce per mostrarvi gli ultimi due arrivi nel mio parco rossetti. Che peraltro dichiaro completo, ormai ho tutte le tonalità che mi donano.
Entrambi i prodotti vengono da due collezioni limitate di MAC uscite lo scorso marzo.

Today I'm going to show you two MAC lipsticks that I bought recently. I finally have a good range of lipstick colors in my stash (as I wrote in the past, I used to prefer liglosses and had only a couple of lipsticks). Both products come from two MAC limited editions which has been released in March here in Italy.

MAC Force of Love, direttamente dalla Chen Man, è un bellissimo corallo che vira con decisione al rosa. Ha un finish matte e il solito leggero e gradevole odore di vaniglia dei rossetti MAC.
Ha una durata veramente incredibile e lo stesso si può dire per la sua pigmentazione.
Trovo sia una tonalità perfetta per chi, come me, ha un sottotono freddo ma che ha anche paura di sembrare un lampione indossando un corallo troppo acceso e troppo arancio.
Nota: una volta applicato sulle labbra, il colore è decisamente più acceso e vibrante di quanto non appaia nello swatch sul braccio! Nonché assai più vicino a quello che vedere nella foto del tubetto. Non so come questo sia possibile: la carnagione cadaverica del mio interno braccio ammazza il colore?!? Mistero.

MAC Force of Love, from Chen Man LE, is a beautiful coral which leans definitely pink. It has a matte finish and has a nice smell of vanilla like all MAC lipsticks.
It has an amazing longevity and pigmentation too.
I think it is a perfect color for girls who, similarly to me, has a cool undertone but don't want to dare with a coral which leans orange.
A note: once applied on the lips, Force of Love is much more vibrant and bright comparing to its swatch on my arm. If you want to have a better idea of how this color will look on your lips you should look at the pic of the lipstick tube! This is weird and I have no idea of the cause of this strange phenomenon. Maybe be my deadly pale skin "kills" corals?!?

MAC Runaway Red, dalla collezione Shop MAC ma già visto anche nella MAC Me Over, è un bellissimo rosso, scuro ma non troppo, dal sottotono blu. Fa parte dei satin ed è molto pigmentato ma con quel tocco di "luce" nel risultato finale.
Anche in questo caso, la durata è eccellente e sentirete per parecchio quel lieve odore di vaniglia sulle vostre labbra.
Lo amo moltissimo perché lo trovo assai più portabile dei rossi classici, magari ben più accesi, che mi donano ma che mi trovo quasi in imbarazzo ad indossare. 

MAC Runaway Red, from Shop MAC Collection (but it has seen also on MAC Me Over), is a beautiful medium dark red with a blue undertone. It has a satin finish and is extremely pigmented. 
Also in this case the longevity is great and you will smell that slight scent of vanilla on your lips. 
I really love this lipstick because I think it's very easy to wear and match. Sometimes I don't wear red lipsticks because I feel embarassed (expecially with brighter reds!). This won't never happen with Runaway Red!

Per oggi chiudo qui, a presto con uno smalto. Vi do due indizi: rosso e olografico. Chissà quale sarà...?
