Rainbow 2.0: Indigo! [Eyeko Indigo Polish]

O quasi!

ABC Challenge: P for Polka Dots

Hi ladies and welcome back to ABC Challenge!
Today I'm going to show you my first Polka Dots manicure.
But first-of-all, a couple of considerations. I don't know why, but those nail arts which are usually considered a bit hard to realize (such as one stroke or water marble) are extremely easy to me.
On the contrary, I have serious issues when I do super simply nail arts or designs, such as polka dots.
This mani was a real challenge!!!! My dots were different in sizes, even if I used the same dotter to do them. Some of them were not round but square, etc. etc.
In the end, I like a lot the final result, but what a struggle!
Well, this is a list of the products I used. The base color is Essie Knockout Pout.
On the index finger I applied, only in a little part of the nail, Orly Purple Leather, an intense purple with a vynil finish.
For the middle finger I chose China Glaze Light as Air, a light lilac with a creme finish.
On the pimkie I used Eyeko Nude Polish (I swear, I will never, never, NEVER use this polish again in my entire life), a sheer nude with a creme finish and a super runny formula.
On my thumb I realized a full nail design, using all the polishes written above in a sort of "gradient polka dots".
I chose a full nail design also for my ring finger, but I added a touch of magic with three holographic polishes: Layla Misty Blush on the top, China Glaze IDK in the middle and Nfu Oh #63 at the base of the nail.
As you can imagine, there was plenty of nail polish bottles on my table during the realization of this nail art!
Hope you like this mani, see you soon with letter Q and don't forget to check the other ladies' entries!

Nail art time: let it snow!

  • Eyeko Rain (base)
  • Misa Dance Fever (glitter argento)
  • Models Own Bluebelle (glitter blu elettrico)
  • Adesivi Essence Crystallized
  • Spugna
  • Pennello 2

Ok, I know that nail arts with snoflakes are usually published during the Xmas period. But here in North Italy the first snow has fallen only three weeks ago, so here it is my first "let it snow" nail art!
It's really super easy, and here it is the list of the products that I used:

  • Eyeko Rain (base colour)
  • Misa Dance Fever (silver glitters)
  • Models Own Bluebelle (electric blue glitters)
  • Essence Crystallized stickers
  • Little piece of sponge
  • Brush #2

First of all I applied the base colour, Eyeko Rain. Then I mixed Dance Fever and Bluebelle in a ratio of 2 to 1 (two drops of Dance Fever and one drop of Bluebelle). Both polishes have a clear base with silver (Misa) and electric blue (Models Own).
I applied this mix on the nails with a sponge. As you can see I put more product on the upper part of my nails.
Only on the ring finger I applied two Essence stickers and then the glitters around them, using a brush #2. Top coat et voilà, super easy but nice nail art finished!
Hope you like it and thank you for reading!

Eyeko Rain

Ok, I must admit that, sometimes, I am a bad "mum" for my nail polishes. This polish has been left alone and sad in my untrieds box for a lot of time. Last week I finally decided to wear it.
Eyeko is a UK brand which is famous expecially for its Fat Brush Mascara. It used to have also a little nail polish line, but it is no longer available and, for the moment, no new shades are present in their on line shop.
Eyeko Rain (for city nails) is a light grey/light blue creme polish. Formula is a bit thick but application is not difficult; also pigmentation is good (two coats in my pics) and it dries fast.
Its Achilles heel is longevity: after two days I noticed that it has "lifted" on the sides of my nails. At first I thought it was a matter of top coat (I used the usual Sally Hansen Insta Dry) or a conflict between its formula and the other two polishes that I applied on it to realize a simple nail art. So I tried to re-apply Rain with two different top coat (CND Air Dry and Rimmel Super Wear): no way. After a couple of days (and even less) it was already ruined.
So if you are planning to buy it (it is still available on Ebay), take in consideration this issue.
That's all I have for you today, have a nice w-e!

ps. what do you want to see in my next post? Do you prefer the simple nail art that I have realized with Rain as a base or the second part of Orly Mineral FX Collection? Please tell me in the comments!
