Christmas Favourites

Buongiorno a tutte!
Se seguite il mio blog da un po', saprete sicuramente che non sono il tipo che indossa certi colori in certi periodi "perché è così che va". Non ho problemi a mettermi uno smalto giallo neon di inverno, un rossetto rosso fuoco alle 8 di mattina, un ombretto verde brillante per Capodanno. Ma nel periodo natalizio succede qualcosa di strano e mi viene voglia di cospargere unghie, occhi e labbra dei "soliti noti", per cui vai di rosso, oro, un tocco di verde scuro e argento e ovviamente glitter. Insomma, ecco a voi i miei raccomandati per il periodo natalizio!

If you're a long time follower of my blog you'd probably know that I'm not the kind of person who wears a color in a certain period of the year because of fixed rules. I have no problem in wearing a neon yellow nail polish during the Winter, or a fatal red lipstick at 8 am, or a bright green eyeshadow for a New Year's Eve Party. But during Christmas time I tend to use the same products and "classic" colours for this period: a lot of gold and red with a touch of silver and green. And, of course, glitters everywhere! Well, in short, these are my Christmas favourites!

Discontinued Day #04: Lilyox Rossetto High Definition #05

Cosa c'è di più discontinued di un prodotto di una marca che è morta, defunta, vaporizzata senza nessuna spiegazione logica?
Per cui, signore, ecco a voi il rossetto High Definition #05 della Lilyox. Breve storia: Lilyox è un brand low cost che nasce a Bergamo (stessa città della Kiko) nel 2011. Nel giro di pochi mesi apre un numero notevole di negozi fisici, riscuotendo un buon successo, complici i prezzi davvero bassi e la qualità buona, in alcuni casi al limite dell'eccellenza.
Nell'agosto 2012 i negozi fisici chiudono per ferie e non riaprono più. Altre notizie non ce ne sono, se non qualche breve articolo su alcuni quotidiani. Il loro negozio on line sembra ancora attivo, ma io francamente non arrischierei un ordine, lol.
Sono stata abbastanza fortunata da riuscire a provare alcuni loro prodotti prima dell'insensata scomparsa, oltretutto approfittando degli sconti del 50% sui già interessantissimi prezzi.
Il rossetto del giorno, preso a 2€ o poco più, è un bel rosa carico, quasi fucsia, davvero lucido e con una buona pigmentazione. Dove lo metti sta: non si infila nelle pieghette, nemmeno in assenza di matita per il contorno labbra. Anche la durata è più che decorosa e in più la formula è ben idratante e confortevole.
Che dire se non: ma che peccato?

So, ladies, here it is the High Definition Lipstick #05 by Lilyox. In short: Lilyox was a low cost brand which is born in Bergamo (the same city of Kiko) in 2011. In a few months they opened a lot of shops in many italian cities. They had a good success because their products had very interesting prices and good (or even excellent) quality. 
In August 2012 their shops closed for the Summer Holidays and they never opened again. No news on their Facebook pages. Some Italian newspapers wrote an article about the rapid success and decadence of Lilyox and I learnt there of the news of their bankruptcy. The funniest thing is that their online shop seems to be still active, lol.
Anyway: I was lucky enough to buy a few products of this brand, like some eyeshadows, a lipgloss, a lipstick. I am really happy with the quality of all of them. I bought them when they were on sale, so I paid around 2€ only for the lipstick and around 1.50€ only for each eyeshadow and for the lipgloss.
The lipstick of the day, High Definition Lipstick #05, is a bright pink, almost fuchsia, with a very glossy finish. Application is amazing, the texture is very creamy and moisturizing.
Pigmentation and longevity are quite good too and it doesn't crease. I'm really enthusiast about its quality.
What more to say? Maybe just: what a shame!
