Rieccomi con un mega post di confronti tra i miei top coat ad asciugatura rapida preferiti. Chi ne uscirà vincitore? Per non tenervi col fiato sospeso (ssssse, come no, ve ce vedo proprio!) vi dico sin da subito che ne parlerò in ordine di preferenza.

Here I am with a new polish wars between my favourite fast drying top coats. I decided to list them in order of preference. I won't translate the part dedicated to price and availability, since it is obviously strictly connected to Italian market.

Guest Post: Paola from Piola's Nail Lounge

Buongiorno ragazze! Io, purtroppo, sono ormai sulla via del ritorno, sigh sob. Per consolarmi, però, mi gusterò l'ultimo guest post, a firma ed opera di Paola di Piola's Nail Lounge. Io e Paola abbiamo avuto l'occasione di andare insieme alle ultime due edizioni del Cosmoprof, e siamo riuscite ad incontrarci anche un altro paio di volte dato che non siamo troppo lontane. La cosa che più mi ha colpito di Paola quando ha aperto il suo blog è il suo gusto impeccabile per gli smalti indie, me ne ha fatto scoprire tantissimi e sempre più belli. Bando alle ciance, vediamo cos'ha combinato! Grazie Paola!

My honeymoon has just ended and I'm really sad, sigh sob! I really need a glorious manicure to comfort myself so it's time to show you the guest post that Paola from Piola's Nail Lounge did for me! Paola and I went to the last two editions of Cosmoprof and met in other two occasions since we don't live so far to each other. When she started her blog I was conquered by the stunning indie nail polishes that she has in her collections, thanks to her I discovered a lot of new (to me) brands. I don't want to waste your time, so let's see what she did for me! Thank you so much Paola!

Best of 2013 - Make-up edition

Rossetti Essence: la nuova linea mi è piaciuta davvero tantissimo. La qualità è davvero ottima, specie se comparata all'economico prezzo; sono cremosi, pigmentati, idratanti e hanno anche una buona durata.

Essence Lipsticks: I fell in love with the new line of Essence lipsticks. Their quality is really great, expecially compared to their price; they're creamy, pigmented, moisturizing and have a good longevity too.

Review: NYC Smooth Skin Mousse Foundation [in 700 Ivory]

No, non mi sono dimenticata che questo è principalmente un nail blog, giuro che da domani tornerò a mostrarvi smalti e nail art. Ma per oggi vi cuccate la review di una new entry nel mio beauty case, ovvero il fondotinta della NYC Smooth Skin Mousse, nella colorazione 700 Ivory, la più chiara in commercio qui in Italia.

October Empties

Buona domenica donzelle!
Tempo di bilanci riguardo i miei Monthly Empties. Durante lo scorso mese non ho terminato molti prodotti (solo quattro + un "intruso"), ma ben due sono ombretti, quindi sono comunque piuttosto soddisfatta. Ma andiamo subito a vedere i miei vuoti di ottobre:

• Bottega Verde Ombretto Wet&Dry Bianco/White: non ricordo nemmeno da quanto tempo l'avevo, ma sicuramente dai tempi dell'università. Ottimo per creare punti luce nell'angolo interno dell'occhio o per illuminare la parte sottostante l'arcata sopraccigliare. 
• Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in #01: ho recensito qui e anche qui altri colori di questa linea. L'ho già ricomprato, lo trovo assolutamente fantastico ed insostituibile, anche per la praticità di utilizzo.
• NYC Turbo Dry Top Coat: già riacquistato anche questo. Costa pochissimo (1.99€) e svolge egregiamente il suo dovere. Un uccellino ha inoltre confrontato il suo INCI con quello del ben più costoso (e da me amatissimo) Sally Hansen Insta-Dry, e sono risultati identici (grazie per la dritta Alice!).
• Lush Settimo Cielo: forse la mia maschera viso preferita in assoluto. Trasforma letteralmente la pelle, rendendola morbidissima e vellutata grazie alla delicata ma incisiva esfoliazione, e la rende anche molto più luminosa. Unico contro: il prezzo.
• Garnier Roll On alla Caffeina: l'intruso. Nel senso che l'ho cestinato senza terminarlo. L'ho acquistato 2-3 anni fa appena uscito; dopo alcune applicazioni in seguito alle quali non avevo notato nessun effetto particolare (dovrebbe decongestionare e rivitalizzare gli occhi gonfi e stanchi), aveva iniziato a darmi proprio noia, provocandomi copiosa lacrimazione. L'ho accantonato per parecchio tempo, finché non mi sono decisa a buttarlo - se già mi provocava allergia appena aperto, figuriamoci ora che ha superato la data di scadenza da un pezzo.

E anche per questo mese è tutto! Per novembre ho nel mirino, su tutti, un fondotinta e una matita occhi. Staremo a vedere!


Good Sunday ladies! 
October is already gone, so it's time to show you my Monthly Empties. During the past month I finished only a few products (four + one "intruder"), but two of them are make-up products (eyeshadows), so I'm still quite satisfied. 
But let's see in detail my October empties: 

• Bottega Verde Eyeshadow Wet &Dry Bianco/White: wow, I can't remember when I bought this eyeshadow, but I still was a university student for sure. Anyway, I love it because it was great to create a spot light in the inner corner of the eye or to illuminate the browbone. 
• Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in #01: I previously reviewed here and here other shades from this collection. I have already repurchased it, I find it absolutely fantastic and irreplaceable, it's so easy to use and has such a great quality! 
• NYC Turbo Dry Top Coat: I have already repurchased this too. It is super cheap (it costs 1.99€ only here in Italy) and has a very good quality. My polished friend Alice has compared its INCI with that of our beloved Sally Hansen Insta-Dry, which is much more expensive here in Italy, and told me that they are identical (thanks for the tip Alice!). 
• Lush Settimo Cielo (Brazened Honey): maybe my favourite face mask ever. It literally transforms my skin, making it soft and smooth thanks to the gentle but effective exfoliation, and also makes it look much brighter. Its only cons: its price!
• Garnier Roll On Caffeine: the intruder. Because I didn't finish it, but I simply threw it in the trash. I bought it a couple of years ago (it was a new launch at that time), and after some applications I didn't notice any particular effect (it should decongest and revitalize tired and puffy eyes); on the other hand, after a while it started to give me a sort of allergy, my eyes became red and were watering after application. So I simply stopped using it and I put it aside, and now I finally decided to throw it in the trash - if it caused me an allergy when it was just opened, I can't imagine what it could happen now that it's expired! 

So these were my October Empties. My "targets" of November are a foundation and an eyepencil. We'll see...!

[Haul] Summer Sins

Ciao a tutte! Post ricco di foto... Infatti vi riassumo gli acquisti smaltosi degli ultimi due mesi o giù di lì. Incrementati dalla compare bloggara e dimonia tentatrice Simona di Light Your Nails, che ho incontrato un paio di settimane fa per scambiarci gli acquisti fatti l'una per l'altra.
Inoltre Simona è stata così gentile da recuperarmi un espositore della collezione Snow White di Essence, che mi sarebbe tanto piaciuto vedere sopra al mio Helmer e che, in effetti, ci sta proprio bene!!!
Ora lo sto usando per mettere gli untrieds che voglio swatchare in tempi brevi ed è semplicemente delizioso!
Ma nelle foto di cui sotto raccoglie, per l'appunto, i miei peccatucci estivi... 

Hi ladies! Picture heavy post... I will show you some of my summer sins. A lot of these polishes come from Simona of Light Your Nails, which has bought and swapped several items for me. We met a couple of weeks ago so we could also do polished chatters and polished shopping!
Moreover, Simona gave me an empty exhibitor of Essence Snow White TE. Some posts ago I wrote that I would love to see it over my Helmer and here it is! 
Actually I am using it to store a few untrieds that I want to swatch ASAP, but in the pics below I used it as an exhibitor for my summer sins...

Partendo dal basso a destra, il Catherine Harley Holo #667, i fruttini della collezione Fruity di Essence, il celeberrimo ed iperdesiderato OPI DS Glamour (mio, mio, finalmente MIOOOOOOO!) e due top coat, lo Shaka Fluo (provato una volta con pessimi risultati, devo dargli un'altra chance) e il fast drying di NYC, in cui ripongo grosse speranze: un TC economico e ad asciugatura rapida è da sempre nei miei sogni proibiti!!!

From the bottom right: Catherine Harley Holo #667, the small slices of fruit in fimo from Fruity Collection by Essence, the famous and VHTF OPI DS Glamour (it's mine, mine, finally mineeeeeee!), and two top coats: Shaka Fluo (I have tried it only once with bad results, I have to give it another chance) and fast drying TC by NYC. I have big expectations for this product, I've been waiting for so long for a cheap and good fast drying top coat...

Durante il nostro giro di shopping abbiamo anche trovato un bel po' dei rari, perché discontinui, Glisten Up! di Essence, ne abbiamo presi un po' per swappare!  

During our shopping tour, we also found a lot of Essence Glisten Up!, which are rare because discontinued, so we bought a bunch of them for swaps!

Nel lettino dell'espositore, da sinistra a destra, ecco a voi Prince Charming, Snow White e The Huntsman (il Principe, Biancaneve e il Cacciatore) in una sorta di sandwich perverso!!! 

In the little bed of the exhibitor I put Prince Charming, Snow White and The Huntsman, in a sort of pervert sandwich!!!

Per la serie "vecchietti ma buoni", ecco Into the Dark della Vampire's Love di Essence, poi Sleepy, Dopey e Bashful della Snow White, nonché la lima con Biancaneve da una parte e la regina Grimilde dall'altra.

And then an ancient but good polish, Into the Dark from Vampire's Love by Essence; again from Snow White Collection, Sleepy, Dopey and Bashful. Plus, the file with Snow White on one side and the Evil Queen on the other.

I miei primi Kleancolor!!!!! Adoro questi smalti e ne vorrei moooooolti altri! Quello a sinistra è Holo Chrome, quello a destra è Chunky Holo Bluebell. In mezzo a loro, l'italianissimo Shake Pop Green.

Bene, questi sono alcuni dei miei peccati estivi. Ho peccato ancora molto, complici i saldi da Kiko e da Lilyox, nuovo brand di make up italiano davvero low cost che mi sta piacendo moltissimo (a parte lo slogan "Segui la farfalla della bellezza" o roba simile che mi sembra davvero a doppio senso...).

Well, these are my summer, polished sins. I have committed maaaany more sins because of Kiko and Lilyox sales (Lilyox is a new make up italian brand, I am really appreciating its products. In particular, its eyeshadows are soooo pigmented and come in a lot of shades and finishes. Moreover, it is super cheap!).
